Sometimes you forget that all good things must come to an end. Thankfully on this occasion, although the lease at our Sackville St site is ending, weโre lucky enough to move to a new location and embark on the next chapter for The Mill Brewery.
To clarify, the building The Mill resides in sold in 2021, and of course, the new owners have plans to knock it down and develop the area - forcing us and the 5 surrounding small businesses to pack up and move, which in the current climate is easier said than done.
I want everyone to know The Mill is not ending here. We have taken over the lease at the Bendigo Hotel on Johnston St, Collingwood. Although not operational immediately, the brew house will be set up at the Bendi, once we fit out and obtain the necessary permits. Our production brewery in Thomastown will continue to supply all your favourite pubs, bars, bottleshops and of course our new location.
Our final day of trade at Sackville St will be Saturday August 24th. Please come down and enjoy a beer, share a memory, and get excited about this opportunity for us to expand to a larger venue. Hope to see everyone there, if not, Iโll catch you at The Bendi (opening Saturday 31st August)

We teamed up with our friends and neighbours to create our Black Forest Gateaรป Stout.
We collaborated on recipes, brew day - and finished by serving tarts infused with the stout alongside our beer at GABS this year (tarts by the tart lord himself ๐ฅ) The flavour pairing was a want AND a need for 2024.
Packed full of dark cocoa and juicy cherries, plus a symphony of specialty malts from New Zealand, Australia and Germany. Limited stock available exclusively at Dan Murphys and BWS ๐ป

THE MILL BREWERY TO RELOCATE AND REVIVE ICONIC BENDIGO HOTEL
Weโre excited to announce our relocation and the reopening of the Bendigo Hotel on Johnston St. Weโll be moving everything over from our current site (which is planned for redevelopment) including the brewery.
Our long-time pals Dingo Ate My Taco will join us with an expanded menu, which weโre excited to share in the coming months.
The Bendi is a Collingwood icon and weโre pumped to revive it with great beer, great food and great live music. Thereโs plans for a venue refresh, brand new PA for the band room, and weโre keeping the Bendigo Hotel name, a legacy for 113 years.
Itโs been an incredible run on Sackville St for the last 7 and a half years, and we hope to have your continued support in our new home.

An absolute treasure to have shared the last 7 years with you Jeremy! You helped shape Sackville St into what it is today - but wonโt be for much longer :(
