Realise you’ve made a recurring typo throughout a doc? Need to redo a contract with a new name or date? No problem! Bulk editing will save you A LOT of time and it's super easy once you know how to do it.

1. The Find and Replace tool is your friend for making instant edits at scale.

2. Use CTRL+F on Windows, or Command+F on Mac to find something quickly.

3. Then, type the word/s you’re searching for and fill in the "replace with" field to update it with the word/s you want to change it to.

Wham bam, you're done!

It's time to wrap up our awards for another year. Last night at our glittering Gold Coast ceremony, we awarded the best of Australian design. Congratulations to all of our finalists and winners - the 2023 AGDA Awards gallery will be ready to view by Wednesday, the 6th of December.

We want to thank everyone from Australia and New Zealand who submitted work to be considered and our judges who gave up their valuable time to review the 1734 entries. Thank you to all who attended last night - including Queensland locals and those who flew in for the special occasion.

Thank you to our Hall of Fame committee - Jenny Grigg, Annette Harcus, and Graham Rendoth - for their hard work in helping keep the industry's rich history alive with their induction of Don Fish and Tony Lunn to the Hall of Fame.

Our AGDA Board would like to thank our General Manager, Danielle, for her exceptional hard work in running the Awards, and Alyssa, for her support.

We have big plans for 2024, and we can't wait to share them with you soon.

An interesting piece on fonts and how they are created and sold. From a template perspective, the fonts that ship with Microsoft will always work.

Where do fonts come from? This one business, mostly - The Hustle Creators say they struggle to gain a foothold in a font market dominated by Monotype

Making documents accessible to everyone is an important part of our work and we're often asked about the best ways to do this.

Microsoft has this handy list of items to think about when you're designing the layout for a Word template, but we'd also add the following important tip:

Single column page layouts can be easily read by a screen reader, double column layouts can't.

Make your Word documents accessible to people with disabilities - Microsoft Support Learn how to create documents that are accessible to people with disabilities or people who use assistive technologies.

Morena recently passed the PowerPoint Office Specialist exam, which is no mean feat! We are very proud of her, she can now confidently say she's a PowerPoint expert (we reckon she already was). Go Morena!
