Thomas is one of our BDAs at Oak. He works closely with our National Sales Manager Caleb, helping to settle deals, follow up with brokers, nurture his portfolio, and assist in running events. Over the past year, he has been building his own broker network, consistently hitting his targets. Today, he gets to put it to work by hosting his first Boardroom Luncheon for his brokers! This is a massive achievement, and Thomas has come a long way in the last 12 months.

Yesterday we had the pleasure attending the SFG National Commercial Conference, the first major SFG conference for the year! Our very own BDA Chelsea Bruhl and Co-Head of Lending Craig Robertson were present delivering insightful updates on our commercial offerings tailored for our esteemed broker clients, and other exciting Oak-centric news.

Today we pause to reflect on the great sacrifice that so many Australian and New Zealand service people have made. While we take the time to honour the incredible bravery of those that have served our countries proudly, we must also remember those that still serve every day.

Yesterday we had our quarterly town hall, where, in between reviewing the previous quarter's results and making sure everyone knows what we want to achieve for the year as a company and how we're all going to work to Make it Happen, we also celebrated the outstanding contributions of our team members through our quarterly awards! Jemma Guyatt for her 5 year service award, marking her 5 year anniversary with Oak and her incredible achievements helping shape our investment department.

Thomas Cutajar for the Service Excellence award, an award that is given to someone who goes above and beyond in providing unparalleled service for every interaction they have.

Last but certainly not least, Georgia Constantinidis for the Employee of the Quarter award. Georgia has gone out of her way to take on new challenges in 2024, taking on a new role managing our BDA team, training and mentoring staff, and consistently demonstrating a can-do attitude by being the first one to step up and get things done, and all this while being in the late stages of pregnancy!

Today we threw a little surprise baby shower for our Sales Operations Manager Georgia! She's due in a little over a month now, and we wish her all the best while she's away on maternity leave.

Our broker client recently helped their SME customer secure refinance of a commercial property. With our tailored solutions, we met their borrowing needs at a 65% LVR. This enabled the refinancing of business debt, freeing up working capital to address ATO obligations.

Congratulations to our WA BDM Andrew Myles on being a finalist for the Better Business Awards 2024, having been nominated for the Best Non-Bank Lender BDM (WA). As a BDM, Andrew consistently goes above and beyond when working on a deal, as his many brokers will attest to. This year he also happens to be celebrating 10 years with Oak, having started with us in our very first year of operations. A fantastic and well-deserved effort!

This year we were once again given the opportunity to support the Special Children's Christmas Party, the biggest events of their kind in Australia for special needs children and their families. As with last year, we gave staff the opportunity to volunteer to help out for the Friday set-up and the Saturday event, and after hearing the stories from the previous year's group we soon had our volunteers. Special Children’s Christmas Party 2023 - Oak Capital Following the success of last year’s event and the joy experienced by both attendees and our staff, we are happy to announce our continued support for the Special Children’s Christmas Party.

This week we had our annual investor luncheon and this year was a little special given we also wanted to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It was lovely to spend time with some of our long-time supporters to connect again, hear their thoughts on the market and of course celebrate the great year it has been.
