✨We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the Freemasons Foundation Victoria for their generous grant funding, enabling the purchase of the much needed children’s therapeutic furniture. From an occupational health perspective alone, this grant will have enormous impact on our older children who will now have a more age-appropriate environment in which to enjoy their therapy sessions.

The visual images below provide an example of some of the furniture purchased and we would like to acknowledge our appreciation of the support.

Our story

Our History

Biala Peninsula became an incorporated body in 1986.

After a series of venue changes within Mornington, concerted efforts were made to establish a permanent home for Biala Peninsula. By 1990, the building project had advanced to the planning stage. The Shire of Mornington provided the site at Barrett Park, Elizabeth Street on a twenty-year lease (which was renewed in 2008) and building began in 1991.

Programs began operating from the new building in June 1992.

When the Elizabeth Street building opened in 1992 Biala Peninsula provided services for 45 children with 6 staff members.
Biala Today
Biala Peninsula supported by a staff team of 30, currently has 149 early childhood intervention service (ECIS) funded places are available to children and their families.

Biala Peninsula has extended its services to be a registered provider of NDIS, HCWA, Better Start & Medicare Programs. These Federally funded programs can be accessed by children who met the criteria and have additional individual funding provided.

Biala Peninsula now operates 6 days per week opening Saturdays all day.

Philanthropic funding , specific program funding and self-funding has allowed the expansion of services to include 3 year old kindergarten, Premmies program, Family Counselling, Holiday program, Sibsclub, Kicking Goals Football sessions, Bouncing Balls Basketball sessions , Netball Stars sessions and Music Therapy Program.
