There are many tips and tricks when it comes to breastfeeding but each persons journey is unique and what works for one may not work for the other. There are plenty of resources out there that can help reach out if you have any questions and I can help point you in the right direction for the help you are after.

Most new mums don't want or expect a lot when people come to visit but here are a few simple things that you can do without being asked that mum will appreciate.
💕FOOD, nothing fancy just bring a snack or a meal for later.
💕CLEANING, just simple jobs like packing or unpacking the dishwasher, putting a load of laundry on, fold some clothes, do a quick vacuum.
💕SHOWER, get mum to feed and settle baby and tell her to go and have a nice warm shower by herself while you are there.
💕SLEEP, chances re mum is tired so let her sleep while you watch her baby.
None of these things are hard jobs but they are all little things that mum will appreciate. Mum is tending to all her babies needs what she needs is for someone to tend to her needs.
If you or someone you know is having a baby soon reach out for postpartum care. I offer all these services with each visit and more.
Mother’s Day hampers all made and ready to go 🥰🥰
If you are after something for a new mum or a mum to be I have 4 hamper’s left so send me a massage and I can organise 1 for you xx
We do not tell adults how long they can eat for so why do we think it’s ok to tell a baby how long it can drink for? Let’s normalise mums following their babies hunger cues and stop expecting an app to tell them when to feed and for how long.
I read a quite the other day and I can’t remember who it was from but it said “ 15minutes either side is a baking recipe not how we feed babies” and I LOVE this our baby’s are all different and feeding habits will be different and that is OK.
Pregnancy can be such a joyful yet scary time for people, here are 5 tips to make your pregnancy more relaxed.
1: Eat plenty of nutritional foods to support the growth of your new baby and your body.
2: Take time regularly to practices mindfulness and reconnect with yourself and how you are feeling.
3: Continue to move your body regularly in ways that feel comfortable i.e. yoga, walking or swimming
4: Start researching anything you want to know about pregnancy or birth, look into classes, read books or listen to podcasts.
5: Find your village, make your own little community who will support you through your journey.
Who else feels this year is flying by 🙋♀️ so I thought I better do a update on what I have available for the next few months. If you are interested in any of these services contact me so we can start organising the support you are after xx
A doula's role extends beyond birth to postpartum care and support, including nourishing meals, to ensure a smooth transition to motherhood 🥰🥰
Did you know even if your birth looks like this you can still enjoy your golden hour of skin to skin, uninterrupted bonding with your new born as long as both mum and baby are safe. And don’t forget if for some reason mum can not do skin to skin dads can do it.
TAKE CONTOL OF YOUR BIRTH STORY!!!
Too many time I hear woman say "my mother could only birth using medical pain relief so I will need it for my birth" or "my mum could only have caesarean births so I will need to have a caesarean birth" or "every woman in my family had a perfect birth so i don't need to educate or prepare myself because I will as well." These are all other peoples birth stories not your birth is such a personal experience even between your own children that you CANNOT predict it by what has happened to your family members or friends.
Please please please 🙏🙏🙏 stop thinking that birth stories are a family trait. Get educated, ask questions, do anything that you feel will help you make the right choices for YOUR birth and not for past generational births.
Snuggle your babies. Holding your baby, co-sleeping, demand feeding and simply letting that new born baby be your world will not create a spoilt baby, it will help mums hormones do their job and help baby with bonding and having their needs met.
SNUGGLE YOUR BABY 🥰🥰🥰
I hear so many breastfeeding mumma’s complain about how tired, hungry and thirsty they always are. When you look at how much energy breastfeeding takes is it really any wonder why you feel this way 🤷♀️
Producing breastmilk takes up about 30% of the body’s energy. Your brain, for comparison, only uses about 20%.
You’re not doing nothing.
This is why you’re so tired at the end of the day.
This is why you’re so hungry and so thirsty.
So, if all you did was feed your baby today, don’t let your mind convince you that you didn’t do enough. You did enough. You did amazing. 🤱

Today is “Say their name” day
Today we honour all the babies that have been lost, listen to the stories of the families that struggle through this grief and let them know we are here for them, they are supported and we want to here their story and their babies name.
This is a pain no one should ever experience and unless you have been through it you do not understand.
Today is Say Their Name Day - a day for everyone in our community to say the names of all the babies and children we have loved and lost. No matter the cause, no matter the age, we are here to say the names of your babies and children.
Join Fiona, Caitlyn and Paul and Pauline and all the others who will say the names of their little one's this year by downloading a sign, or commenting your little one's name on this post.
For families whose babies were not named you can include your baby's family name, a nickname used during pregnancy, a significant date or any symbol that is meaningful to you.
We are honoured to remember them with you.
