Psychological theory Maslow’s hierarchy of needs suggests that all humans have needs that can be ordered through stages. As such Maslow purposed that lower level needs must be satisfied before higher level needs can be addressed. This theory serves as a great framework for understanding human motivation and how we can support other’s wellbeing.
At better care we have the ability to provide affordable accomodation in key locations around Newcastle, this allows us to focus on building other key areas, such as creating a sense of belonging and safety.

Meet Ryan.
When the Better Care team first met Ryan, one of his goals was to live in his own space. Together Ryan and the team have turned this goal into a reality. In Ryan’s words “I lost hope that help was out there, until I met Luke and his team, I’ve never had my own room and now I have a home.”
