✨ MEET PAULA PRADO ✨

I have cultivated a diverse skill set through my professional journey, with over 20 years of experience in Performing Arts, I bring a depth of understanding and creativity to every project. I began my training at the prestigious Raça Center of Arts (São Paulo, Brazil), studying Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Floorwork, Urban Dances, Musical Theatre, Improvision. As an Interpreter Dancer at Cia. Raça, I had the privilege of being part of the production “Sobre Aquelas Palavras, where Jhean Allex, the choreographer for the production, is an esteemed figure in both teaching and choreography, with contributions that have been acknowledged with awards, notably the title of “Best Choreographer.” At Raça Center of Arts, I served as an Assistant Professor on Teen Jazz for a year with Alex Siqueira, meticulously preparing classes and guiding students through technique and artistic movements. Additionally, at Raízes Dance Institute, I taught various classes and served as a choreographer, guiding students in showcasing their learning and growth. Throughout my career, I have excelled in Competitive Dance Festivals, achieving top placements in Jazz, Contemporary and Urban Dances, including a 2nd Place finish at the ‘Pariz Festival’ for Jazz Contemporary Solo, where I was also recognized as Best Interpreter for a piece I choreographed. I have also participated in Competitive Dance Festivals with Grupo Raça, achieving 1st place in most competitions and “best competitive Group” in Jazz, Contemporary, and Urban Dance categories as Group, Duo, and Solo. In addition to dance, I have explored other arts, including Vertical Dance at “Paramount Studios” I worked as a Choreographer and Movement Director at Cia. Base Vertical Dance, aligning the Bio creative process with the director’s concepts and ideas, together with several Showcases in multiple buildings and Theatre in São Paulo City/Brazil. Currently, I specialize as a Flexologist at Strech Lab, focusing on enhancing range of motion and flexibility through dynamic and static stretching techniques, assisting individuals in leading more mobile lives.

On Tuesday 9th July, we will be holding a ‘FUN DAY’ in the first week of the school holidays! The day will go from 10am-1pm consisting of dance, music, craft activities and more!! 🩰✏️🎶🩷

Whether you are currently a student at the Institute of Dance or Baby Ballet School, interested in dance classes or simply just looking for some FUN, this day is perfect for you!

The lovely Miss Prue and Miss Maddie will be there to host the day and will ensure a super fun time for everyone of all ages.

✨ MEET MADEYLN MILLER ✨

Madelyn began her training at the age of 9 and has trained in all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and acrobatics. Madelyn then completed her full time studies at National College of Dance, graduating with a certificate iii, iv and Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance), while also completing her RAD ballet examinations from Grade 2 till Advanced 2. 

After graduating in 2021 Madelyn moved to Florida to partake in a traineeship with a ballet company called United Ballet Theatre. She danced and performed alongside professional dancers in multiple different ballets such as The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Etudes and Napoli. After two years Madelyn was promoted to the upper Trainee level. Whilst in her training at UBT she trained in Ballet, Contemporary and Neoclassical as well as weekly floor barre, mat + reformer pilates and ballet based cross training. 

Madelyn has now returned home after 3 years in the United States dancing with a professional company. She is continuing her dream and passion towards her ballet career as well as teaching in spare time.

Madelyn is a returning teacher for the Institute of Dance and Baby Ballet School.

Our Baby Ballet School is hosting a ‘Bring a Friend Day’ on Monday 1st July (last week of term)!!

Class will run from 10:30-11:30am (during normal class times) taught by our lovely teacher Miss Prue!

Students of the Baby Ballet School and Institute of Dance are welcome to bring a family member, friends or anyone they think may be interested in joining Baby Ballet and Baby Jazz classes.

There will be dancing, music and fun for the students and tea, coffee and cakes for the parents! Students are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable to dance in!!

✨ MEET PRUDENCE DUMAS ✨

Prudence was trained under the guidance of Daphne Parker and she completed her RAD examinations through to Advanced 1.

After completing the exams Prudence traveled overseas in Japan with Dance Encore Productions for two years. Upon returning she gained her Teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy Of Dance .
Prudence is the owner & Artistic director of Planet Dance Telarah & Branxton.

She is a Silver Swan Licensee & has her certification in PBT.

Prudence is the resident dance teacher At St Patrick’s Primary Lochinvar & has a partnership with ELC Huntlee.

She is also a teacher here at the Institute of Dance and Baby Ballet School.

✨ MEET WILLE SZABO ✨

Wille began dancing at the age of 3 in many styles including tap, ballet, lyrical/contemporary, and jazz/hip-hop.
 
Wille has completed RAD ballet grades 1-8 and is currently studying Advanced 1.
Has completed Glenn Wood Tap levels 1-12 and is currently studying level 13.

Wille has also participated in eisteddfods and workshops in tap from a very young age and has been a part of the featured tap ensemble in schools spectacular 2022 and 2023. Willie is also a member of Newcastle Youth Orchestra and has been a part of the Starstruck orchestra in 2022 and 2023.
 
Plays viola (Grade6), violin (Grade7), and piano (Grade5) doing exams and eisteddfods.

Trained as assistant dance teacher 2020-2023 in styles ballet, tap and jazz.

Wille is now part of cast as ensemble member for the musical production of Mary Poppins in October 2024, and teaches Tap and Jazz classes at the Institute of Dance.
