We had the privilege of hosting an Speech Therapy PD run by the operational manger and clinician from Prosper. The session taught families and staff about speech and language delays and red flags to listen out for when it comes to the topic of speech. It was an informative session yet relatavle as everyone was able to share stories. Overall a great night with so much to think about.

Let's Donate to our Village Fundraiser.
Dig as deep as the ocean,
To help little Pirates out,
A $5 or a $10 will collectively help no doubt,
A little ocean Pirates life could be turned around,
If we all the generosity gather money in our Village Stirling town,
Your efforts and kindness will turn a frown upside down.
If we all band together we will not be made to walk the plank,
However dock on the shore where we would get many Thanks.
We wish to see the tide of our goal get met,
With your wonderful donations our goal will reach fast speeds like zooming jet.
Sending big pirate love Team Village.

R U OK?
To build awareness our team wore yellow, embarked on conversations about how we were feeling and immersed the children in topics about feelings and expressing our thoughts and emotions.
The day is an Australian non-profit su***de prevention organisation, founded by advertiser Gavin Larkin in 2009. It revolves around the slogan "R U OK?" (gramogram for "are you okay?") and advocates for people to have conversations with others. The organisation holds a dedicated R U OK? Day annually on the second Thursday of September, which encourages Australians to connect with people who have emotional insecurity, to address social isolation and promote community cohesiveness.

Hungry caterpillar sensory fun for our junior toddlers.
Wow what an amazing opportunity to hubt for the food the caterpillar could eat. The children created a total scene in thier room today exploring the worm like texture of the spaghetti.
The children were just so engaged and curiosity got the better of them resulting in thier confidence growing wings like a gorgeous butterfly.
Our nursery room went all out today with this sensory sheep, followed by the reading of Where is the green sheep. The children grew fond of the intonation in the tone when telling the story of all the wonderful sheep featuring in the book.
Our educators wish they could have curled up with the green sheep but rembered they are the working, teacher sheep and needed to be the wide awake sheep too. In all seriousness this book is a total baaaa-zzzzz to read.
Some of our delightful kindy children dressed with thier books. That kindy room today boy oh boy was full, with an abuance of literacy opportunities immersing young minds with the power of text.
