πΆ Dogs need 3-4 initial vaccine doses as puppies and regular annual boosters.
If your dog isn't vaccinated, book an appointment now to keep them safe and healthy with SAI Vet!
Vaccination can make a huge difference in survival from Parvo virus infection and other infectious agentβs distemper virus, hepatitis and Kennel cough ( Parainfluenza virus and bacterial pneumonia from Bordetella)
πββ¬ Kittens and adult cats also have similar protocols and require annual vaccination to prevent Cat Flu, leukaemia and FIV. Due to shortages of complete vaccination at this time, we only offer Cat Flu vaccine at SAI.
π° We vaccinate rabbits against Rabbit Calici virus as well and itβs an annual vaccine.

πΎ Ever wondered how much sleep your furry friend needs to stay happy and healthy?
π€ It's crucial to understand their snooze needs, just like we do for ourselves!
πΆ Puppies: Did you know that those adorable little balls of energy actually need a whopping 18-20 hours of sleep per day? That's right, all that playtime can really wear them out!
π Adult dogs: Even our grown-up canine companions require their beauty rest, typically around 12-14 hours a day. It's their way of recharging after a day filled with walks, fetch, and maybe even a few treats!
π΄ Older dogs: As our furry friends age gracefully, they still need plenty of shut-eye to keep them feeling their best. Around 14 hours of sleep per day ensures they stay sprightly and full of life!
Remember, a well-rested pup is a happy pup! π€ So, make sure your furry friend gets the snooze time they need by providing a cosy bed and a peaceful environment. Your dog will thank you with endless tail wags and cuddles!

It's important to recognise that dogs, much like humans, can experience skin issues such as pimples and blackheads.
These conditions can arise from various factors, with two significant contributors being:
Plastic Bowl Usage: Surprisingly, the material from which your dog eats can play a role. Plastic bowls, if not cleaned properly or made from low-quality materials, can harbor bacteria that contribute to skin problems.
Closed Pores: Skin allergies or hormonal imbalances can lead to pores becoming closed, which may manifest as pimples or blackheads on your dog's skin.
If you notice any skin irregularities on your dog, such as pimples, it's crucial not to attempt any home remedies without proper guidance. Doing so could exacerbate the issue or cause discomfort to your pet.
Instead, we recommend reaching out to us for professional evaluation and treatment.
Your dog's health and well-being are our utmost priority, and we're here to provide the necessary care and support.

Did you know that what your furry friend eats can directly impact their behaviour? It's true!
β Opt for foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon or flax seed for improved focus, while high-quality proteins such as chicken or beef boost energy levels.
βAvoid artificial additives and fillers, and choose natural ingredients like sweet potatoes and blueberries for reduced anxiety.
Give your pup the gift of optimal nutrition and watch their behaviour transform! πΆ
πΎ Keep your furry friend protected! πΎ
Attention pet parents! Ensure your dog or cat receives timely vaccinations for lifelong health and happiness.
For puppies and kittens, initial vaccinations usually start at around 6-8 weeks of age, with boosters needed every few weeks until they're about 16 weeks old.
After that, regular booster shots are typically required annually or every three years, depending on the vaccine. πΆπ±
Don't miss a beat in your pet's vaccination schedule.

πΎ Look at Lilly, she seems to be happy. But, a few days ago she was not.
A bee π sting turned this kitten's playful world upside down. She started vomiting violently, nearly 20 times and soon became tedious and lethargic.
When Lilly arrived at SAI, she was severely dehydrated, listless, and in shock. Our dedicated team quickly jumped into action, providing fluids, antihistamines, and supportive treatments. After a short sedation, we carefully removed the bee sting from her mouth. πβ€
Just a day after this harrowing incident, look at Lilly now β comfortably cuddling with her human brothers, feeling much better! π₯°πΎ
