Day #7 reason #7!

CLEANING!!!!

With just a drop of dish liquid, or 50mL of white vinegar and 1L of water - A fantastic cleaning mode that can be switched up depending on the dish you have just prepared and therefore how dirty your bowl is and how finicky the ingredients can be!

The recently added 'short' cleaning option, also showing the advantages of the TM6 Wi-Fi enabled software. An easy addition to the TM6 features!

Day 6, reason #6!

Fermentation!

Yoghurt, cheese or to proof dough, this mode makes it oh so much easier!

You can set the time for up to 12 hours and the temperature will remain stable for between 37-70degrees. Pot-set yoghurt is now achievable!!

Reason # 5, Day 5!

From High Heat (see Tuesday's posts) to Slow cook and delicate Sous-vide!

The TM5 allows a maximum cook-time of 99 minutes - where you would have to cook, say your silverside, in 2 batches, remembering to turn the temperature and timer back on after the first 99 minutes.

The TM6 allows you to slow cook and can cook for up to 8 hours on 1 setting.

This TM6 feature manages the blade rotations especially - on a slow rotation for the first half hour and then switches to 1-minute on; 1-minute off.

This slow-cooker function goes hand-in hand with the additional blade cover available as a Host reward so make sure you ask me how to earn this for free! (or at the very least at a discounted rate!). Good news if you already have one with your TM5 - it is interchangeable!!

Not to mention chef quality sous-vide! Sous-vide is another mode on the functions screen and is a technique loved by chefs due to the gentle cooking. Gentle cooking and precise temperature control results in perfect results every time.

Sous-vide can be done using the simmering basket OR the blade cover.

The TM6 simmering basket comes with an attached flip-top lid, ensuring that your sous-vide portions don't try and escape! Suitable for smaller portions, otherwise invest in the blade cover to feed a larger crowd your sous-vide delectables!

Think perfectly cooked asparagus; salmon; medium-rare beef fillet steak; beef brisket; pork chops; pork cheeks; chicken breast - whatever you like!

Also, with the blade cover, you can poach to your heart's content! Poached salmon; dumplings; patties and meatballs along with adding pre-cooked pulses and legumes to recipes without them breaking up on the blades in your chilli or curry.

Day 4, Reason #4

CHOP!

This feature is fantastic proof of the benefit of the Wi-Fi enabled software. This mode is the most current feature added via the software upgrades that you are entitled to when investing in your TM6 and this mode takes the guess-work out of Chopping.

You select you ingredient from the list on the screen, the quantity, chop size, add your ingredient to the mixing bowl, "SET" and turn the selector to the indicated speed.

Day #3, reason 3!
Touchscreen display!

TM5 is a 6.1" display -v- TM6 sporting a larger 6.8" display - supporting Cookidoo access and the playing of instructional videos.

The TM6 screen is the size of a small iPad or tablet, with the ability to adjust the brightness of the screen.

Okay so I was a bit excited about the sugar work component of the high heat, but obviously that's not the only thing High Heat is good for!

High temperature 160degrees TM6 -v- 120 degrees in the TM5 is great for sauteeing, browning and caramelizing. The high heat helps to intensify and lock-in those flavours!

Here's a quick vid on a sautee with a High Temperature guided cooking recipe. (NOTE: i would use the cutter to slice those veggies first, or just chop in the Thermie!)
