For us in the Southern Hemisphere, it's the Winter Solstice, which is the shortest day and longest night of the year.

In the Northern Hemisphere, it's your Summer Solstice, the longest day of your year.

Each is its own magickal time that we can all work with, specifically for the Winter Solstice it's a time to focus on inner-journeying, reflection, meditation, shadow work, letting go , connecting to loved ones/family in spirit and giving space to letting go of all that has come to this point that no longer serves us.
The nights get shorter from here forward, which represents that shift to brighter days ahead.

Use Obsidian, Black Garnet, Nuummite, Smoky Quartz, Mookaite, Stichtite/Serpentine or Black Moonstone to deepen the connection to these energies of the Solstice.

In the Northern Hemisphere, your day is very different. It's the most powerful day of Yang/Masculine energy of the year and a time of abundance, celebration, gathering with family & friends, sharing, creating, expansion, gratitude for what has already manifested, as well as future plans and goals.

This is also the best day of the year to cleanse your solar/fire element crystals! Pop them out for between 10 minutes and a couple of hours depending on how hot it is where you are.

3 years ago everything changed when you passed away so suddenly, the impact that had and the empty space that has been left where you used to be is the hardest thing to deal with.

This time around, I've felt the emotions wash over and through me whilst living life more comfortably.. Weirdly...
I know time helps heal all wounds, and this past year, I have been forced to feel more than expected.

Feeling the hurt, anger, frustration, grief, despair, reality, apathy, the total weight of trying to understand your journey through life and reflect on the wisdom you taught me, has allowed me a new sense of clarity.
