We organised a surprise birthday celebration for Dad on 16th November 2022 at Amaya Hills, Kandy, Sri Lanka. This hotel is amazing and has a spectacular view in every direction you see. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.

The food is amazing, must try bacon puff, rolls, and milk tea from "Sangraha". you'll be lucky if Mr. Krishan was there because he makes the best tea.

Mr, Pathum Silva, and Sidath Ranasinghe helped us throughout the stay, I have no words to express my thanks to them and all the other staff members who helped us to make the event a success and unforgettable.

Kandy to Ella Train journey is one of the most scenic train journeys in South Asia travelling through lush green tea estates/waterfalls / many tunnels which gives you a beautiful/joyful memory.

The Nine Arches Bridge (Sinhala: ආරුක්කු නමයේ පාලම,) also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country.

It is located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase in tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the nearby hillsides.

The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers. The chief designer and project manager of the 'upcountry railway line of Ceylon' project was D. J. Wimalasurendra, a distinguished Ceylonese engineer and inventor. The designer of the viaduct was Harold Cuthbert Marwood of the Railway Construction Department of Ceylon Government Railway. The 1923 report titled "Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon" published by the Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings.

Popular rumours suggest that when construction work commenced on the bridge, the Great War began between the empires of Europe, and the steel assigned for this site was reallocated to Britain's War related projects at the battlefront. As a result, the work came to a standstill, leading the locals to build the bridge with stone bricks and cement, but without steel.

Ramboda is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province.
The Ramboda Road Tunnel is currently the longest road tunnel in Sri Lanka and is situated on the A5 highway (Perandenyia - Nuwara Eliya Road), close to Ramboda Falls. It is 225 m (738 ft) long, 7 m (23 ft) wide, and 5.6 m (18 ft) high. Construction of the tunnel began in 2006, and it opened in February 2008. The tunnel cost Rs. 2,000M and was substantially funded by the Japanese Government. The 1,000 rupee banknote, issued on 4 February 2011, features an artist's impression of the Ramboda tunnel, with the rock wall at the same location before construction.
The Wavenden Estate in Ramboda was the birthplace of the British Admiral of the Fleet, Lord Fisher.

Ramboda Falls is 109 m (358 ft) high and the eleventh tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th tallest waterfall in the world. It is situated in the Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. The waterfall is formed by the Panna Lake which is a tributary of Kothmale Lake. The falls have an elevation of 945 m (3,100 ft) above sea level.
