🎁 ARESOLUTION x SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS DRIVE 🎁
Christmas Gift Drive - The Salvation Army
This December, the Aresolution team is running a Christmas gift drive through the Salvation Army. We will be collecting donations under our tree in our office which will be gifted to those who are in hardship this Christmas.
If you would like to join us in spreading love and charity this Christmas, please bring your new, unwrapped gifts or canned goods to your next appointment and place it under our tree.

Donation ideas:
Gift vouchers for gifts (allows parents to select gifts for their children)
Gifts vouchers for supermarkets
Wrapping paper and gift bags
Books
Beauty products (make up, hair products, nail polish)
Toys
Board games/card games
Sporting equipment
Toiletries/hygiene products (shampoo/conditioner, body wash, deodorant/body spray)
Canned food/non-perishables

Meet Keren, our Clinical Psychologist onboard the Aresolution team who joined us in 2022. Keren is extremely well traveled, and even worked in a hospital as a volunteer psychologist in Bhutan, South Asia!

Keren is passionate about infant and perinatal mental health and helping to build strong attachments between parents and children and assist in enhancing emotional well being during times of big adjustment.

As psychologists, we recommend that everyone’s emotional stress, anger, distress and anxiety management kit should include a range of strategies to help them cope and achieve resolution.
Touchpoints are a very helpful strategy for managing stressors that relies on tactile stimulation, vibration and bilateral stimulation to help process stress and reduce your overall physical arousal.
Touchpoints can be used in a range of ways outside of therapy to help you manage stress. You can use them when you are distressed to help reduce arousal or you can use them daily as a physical meditation device during a walk, on your way to work to help reduce stress and lower arousal.

There are multiple factors that can contribute to experiencing burn out. It is important to understand and recognise the signs and symptoms so we can take proactive steps towards self-care and restoration.
Remember, it's okay to pause, breathe, and prioritise your well-being. Take time to recharge, set boundaries, and seek support. Your mental and emotional health matter. You deserve rest, replenishment, and a life in balance.

✨Our principal psychologist is excited because our new EMDR light tube and buzzies have arrived!✨

EMDR is useful for trauma, PTSD, difficult emotions, phobias and OCD.
Our EMDR team has been playing around with new and modern ways to help our clients get the most out of their EMDR experience.
You can do EMDR in many ways! Just a few of the techniques we use at Aresolution are: by crossing your hands, using buzzies, using a light tube, following your therapists hand, or by using headphones with bilateral sounds and tapping either side of your body!
Your therapist will work with you to find out what method suits you best!
