We had a great workshop last weekend with these 6 good friends.

A Bee Bath workshop is the best thing to do as a beginner as it is a flat project .. and you can finish it in a day. A Bee Bath workshop goes for 6 hours, costs $165.. all materials and lunch is provided.

Debbie finished her gorgeous sign with the name of her home. What do you think? She layered some of Michelles Ceramics butterflies on it.

Ford House is an historic 120 year old homestead with extensive riverside gardens and is open for The Ford House Garden Fair on Saturday May 4th from 8.30am to 3pm.
The fair is set in a distinctly country garden that has evolved over a 120 year time span. Trees range from 100 year old fruit trees and two eighty year old English oaks to small deciduous trees. The layering of autumn colour in May is stunning. The Blackwood River in all its magnificence makes a wonderful tranquil backdrop as it wends it way towards Augusta.
At the fair there will be plant specialists that will have their plants and expertise available so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Garden related products and delicious food and refreshments for everyone’s enjoyment will be in abundance.
$5 entry fee to the Garden Fair.
Dogs must be on leads.

Great story came out of last weekend's workshop = Linda's husband had a heart attack, 8 years ago, while driving down the Tonkin Highway... Emma, an off-duty oncologist nurse, first on scene, gave him chest compressions and saved his life (broke 7 of his ribs too!) Linda and Emma have been good friends ever since ♥♥♥

Penny and Maree came to grout their bee baths this week. Lovely! I have also added some pictures of bee baths that are currently for sale at Perth Mosaic in Kalamunda.

A bee bath is a simple bee water feeder in your home garden, and it's a nice touch to set out for your pollinating guests. A bee bath has different levels to allow the bees to access the water so they can step down and drink without drowning. After all, without those busy workers in the garden, you wouldn't have as many beautiful blooms or fresh vegetables and fruit to harvest.
