Year 10 lightning carnival ⚡️

Huge effort from all of our year 10's today. Perfect weather and an amazing showcase of skill. We played fantastic Netball and managed some huge wins finishing in equal 2nd place before the finals play off.
MVP is awarded to Alliyah Elstone who's defensive play was outstanding all day!

Today we treated our fabulous students to our annual Beach Netball Competition. With perfect weather and an outstanding display of perseverance and sportsmanship the girls put on a great display of skills.

Multicultural Netball Carnival 2023

We had the opportunity to take two teams to the annual Multicultural carnival again this year and we are so proud of how all participants played and conducted themselves. With 93 teams competing across a range of year groups, it made for a wonderful atmosphere being amongst those who enjoy the sport just as much as we do.

A huge thank you to Petimara for umpiring and assisting the year 7/8 team 🙌 and to Mr Foeken for coaching and getting us to and from the event.

Results:
Year 7/8 girls : 5 wins, 1 loss

Year 10 girls : 3 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw.

A great day all up and we look forward to next year 🤗

SSWA Netball Carnival- TUESDAY 23rd May

All participants going to the SSWA carnival tomorrow need to be at school by 7:45am in full Netball kit.

- Please bring a spare set of dry clothes to change into at the end of the day in case we get wet. Games will still run in wet weather 🌧🌧
- Ensure all jewellery is left at home/taken out
- No set lunch break, so bring light snacks and energising foods to get you through exh game.

WA Teacher Games 🥇

SIMPLY THE BEST! 👏🏽

The School Sport WA's Teachers' Games are an annual, multi-sport, mass participation event that is exclusively for educators across Western Australia.

The games are designed for teachers to connect through a range of sporting and social events, build team morale and most importantly, enhance staff health and wellbeing.

This year we had Thornlie Senior High School staff create a mixed Netball team with other staff from Byford Secondary College, Aspiri Primary School, Edney Primary School and Rockingham Senior High School, and after a morning of great competition, they are the 2022 Teachers Games champions!

Special congratulations to our very own Mrs Bayliss, Miss Millar, Mr Symmans and Mr Withers! 🏆🥇🌟

Well done to our Year 10’s who participated in the Netball inter-school zone carnival last Thursday 🏐 This wonderful group of students haven’t played together for over a year so it was great to get them together again for some competitive fun in Div A 😆

The sun was shining all day, the team found their groove and we all had a fun day playing netball 🙌 Thanks team!

EXCITING NEWS 🤗 …selected students from years 7,8 & 9 will be competing at the SSWA Netball day carnival on 24th May.

Teams will be placed on the gym notice board on Tuesday 17th and Compass invites sent out to parents.

Some schools we will be competing against include Cecil Andrew’s, Darling Range, Emmanuel, Churchlands and Harrisdale.

Venue: Fremantle Netball Association
7:30am start at school, 3:30pm return to school.

Today was so much fun! I am so proud of all of our netball academy students who participated in the day carnival today. Their positive attitude and team spirit was awesome to see 🙌

Busselton 2021 🌞

Perfect weather for a quick Netball Tour down South at the beautiful Busselton beaches.
The girls competed in a series of games against local school Cape Naturaliste College and Perth locals Byford Secondary College.
We introduced Beach Netball, which quickly became a favourite for most of the girls!
Plenty of Netball, sunshine and exploring the South West.
We look forward to what 2022 will bring ⚡
