Basketball Victoria's 2024 Awards - celebrating 2023 - highlights the outstanding achievements of the Victorian basketball community. The service awards celebrate those individuals who have contributed a significant period of their lives to helping enhance and cultivate Victorian basketball at all levels of the sport.

FIXTURE CHANGES
We have just had a couple of new teams join which has unlocked an extra two timeslots. This has caused a reshuffle and also the removal of all byes!

Fixtures are now live for the Winter comp starting this Monday 8th of April.

A heap of new teams have joined, and a few are out with injury. We have been creative with fixtures based off new teams and last seasons performance. This includes changing a few team numbers.

Please login to your account and double check your team name so you have the right time! so many people registered under weird and wonderful names which made it hard to identify you. This has been fixed now, please do not change it.

Just remember, we have 6 grading rounds. We will be keeping an eye on this over the coming weeks and will be making changes for Round 7.

As a reminder, tonight is the last night for 2023 as "The Rings" hits up its 10 yearly floor renewal over the month of December.

The VCBA team will be taking a break from tonight through to mid Jan.

At its peak the comp averaged between 8-10 womens teams that have been greatly missed since our dear friend covid.

Todays shout out is for those who have had teams in the past, are part of a church wishing to start a team, or even people who can't gather enough players and need help finding a team.

I have reopend the rego until midnight, but we really need to get cracking on the fixtures as there is a lot of behind the scenes work to do still and preference to give teams as much notice as possible.

Grand Final Info

Hi All,

For those of you who are in the Grand Final tonight, on behalf of the VCBA team we wish you all the best.

By means of update we are unable to run presentations this evening. The AB games will have additional referees and scorers throughout the two timeslots.

It is our hope that as the competition picks up to normal numbers we can expand the committee and provide more activities throughout the season. As it stands we are low on resources with our volunteers catching covid and not being in a position to attend this evening hence the last minute change of plans.

We look forward to sharing our growth structure and strategy at the upcoming AGM.

Regrading Found 7

The fixtures have been redrawn and come into play from next Monday. Please ensure your teams are aware of any time changes that may have taken place in the grading process.

We have done our best to work through 6:40 & 10pm games being even across all grades. If you have any issues, please let me know ASAP so i can see what we can do.

NOTE: Important Fixture Changes!

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you know that we have had some late entries into the competition.

Throughout the course of the pandemic we have seen a large drop in teams (currently sitting at 30, which is around 15 teams down on average. This has meant that we are doing our best to be flexible along the way if there is interest throughout the course of the season whilst the comp builds back up.

As a result, the last 2 seasons we have released court 4 temporarily to allow for other clubs to utilise the space up until 8pm.

With the addition of new teams, we are excited to open up another 2 timeslots which will fill our 6:40 to 10pm allocations across 3 courts (the highest its been since covid).

Please take note of the new fixture which has been published as of 10am 28/9 and will commence this coming Monday.

A reminder that all players need to be registered via their unique team registration link. Registering them on the computer only enters as a fill in. If you get stuck with this, let us know as your players will be play uninsured which poses a risk to both the player and the association.
