10th October is World Mental Health Day:
This day is celebrated to raise awareness regarding the issues of mental health and the importance of mental happiness.
Why don't we all just take some time out today and do something for ourselves? Do something that might bring some joy, maybe play that song you haven't heard for 10 years, start that book you've been wanting to read, go for that walk in the forest...or go for a drive and play your daggy music out loud and sing along with it! It's not going to cure anything, but it might lift our spirits for a few minutes - and that's got to be be good?

Don't forget, there are always organisations you can reach out to if you feel you need some professional help. Your treatment team may include your:

* Family or primary care doctor.
* Nurse practitioner.
* Physician assistant.
* Psychiatrist, a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats mental illnesses.
* Psychotherapist, such as a psychologist or a licensed counselor.
* Pharmacist.
* Social worker.
* Family members.

Organisations such as Beyond Blue and Headspace are also available and have lots of resources, just to mention two.
