Here is a link to Susannah Conway's 'Unravel Your Year 2020' journal which you can download for free and work through in your own time. While she allows access to it from December, I'm taking my time to go through it this month. Follow the instructions in the link below to subscribe and she will email you the journal. Some years I do it, some years I don't. I find it has some useful prompts to help me reflect on the (difficult) year gone by. If you're up for the experience, take from it what speaks to you and what you find helpful. Everything else, leave behind.

These are really extraordinary times and for parents and carers looking after children at home, I see you. I see how overwhelmed you must feel at times, how frustrated, how confused and how tired you feel.
Be kind to yourself and try to use this time to connect more with your children, play, garden, dance, sing, cook and read together. And know that some days will be a total mess and there's always tomorrow to try again.
If your children are a bit older, try to listen out for the times when they might want to share something with you (often it happens right in the middle of something you're trying to get done) and hear them out. Once they finish sharing, see if you can connect with them by reflecting to them the feelings they may have felt about what they shared with you. Take your time to cultivate and savour the connection and reserve judgement (until the end if you have to at all).
And above all, know that you are doing your best and reach out for help if you need to.
And a snapshot version for what you CAN do
Thanks Russ 😉
