I monitored the cycle with blood tests and pelvic scan to determine the LH Surge and fertile day.
The pelvic scan today shows a lovely single with a heart beat😀seen. We are all over the moon of course.
The next step is to book in to the OBGYN for ongoing pregnancy care.
Did you know that Clomid like Letrozole helps induce ovulation. It is a low cost treatment but does need a prescription from the doctor. The chances of with these medications is 20 % per month so it is worth giving them a try. Many of my ladies conceive on this method.

Happy St Patricks Day everyone
Endometriosis occurs when the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows in other places of the body where it does not belong,
Such as:
✔ The Ovaries
✔Fallopian Tubes
✔Surface of the Uterus
✔Bowel
✔Bladder
This stray endometrial tissue is often called "endometrial implants" as this tissue still acts in a similar fashion to the endometrium in the uterus. This tissue also responds to the hormone changes in the menstrual cycle. During menstruation it also bleeds into the surrounding area causing pain and inflammation. It can lead to scarring and adhesion formation.
Endometriosis affects about 1 in 10 women.
This is a condition I see every week in my fertility clinic. It can present as painful menstruation or only just dark spotting leading up to the menstruation.
Some describe back ache or abdominal pain and the pain usually is with menstruation but sometimes it can be constant.
The other symptom it can cause is . Endometriosis can distort the fallopian tubes and cause cysts in the o***y called Chocolate cysts making it difficult for egg and s***m to meet and fertilise.
I am always asking my patients if they have any of these symptoms. You see even women with can have .
If any of these symptoms occur I do recommend a consultation with the doctor and a pelvic scan

Today I met with female doctors and gave a talk on fertility preservation and egg freezing.
Even women with PCOS consider egg freezing especially if not yet ready to conceive a family or have yet met their life partner
Hi ladies new research shows that intermittent fasting may help us to shed the kilos, which reduces insulin levels and insulin resistance . Get blood sugar levels back to normal and kickstart the menstrual cycle and . So this may help with the ttc
Insulin resistance is common with polycystic ovarian syndrome. The high levels of insulin are thought to be the culprit in stopping ovulation and causing menstrual cycle irregularities.
Weight loss helps reduce insulin and blood sugar levels. And intermittent fasting using a low carbohydrate Mediterranean diet helps with weight loss and helps keep it off.

Yes, she did have personal trainer but this is still an amazing amount to lose and will no doubt give her more energy and help with her general wellness.
I wish her all the best.
Today I placed this beautiful embryo into one of my lovely patients. In 9 days we will know if it has implanted.
is short for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. And polycystic ovaries is one of the criteria women need to have this diagnosis.
Below is an ultrasound image of a polycystic o***y. You can see many black circles. These are the many follicles or cysts in the o***y.
Yes, there are many cysts/follicles but this also means there many eggs inside the o***y.

Vitamin D is wonderful for Fertility health. It supports male hormones and and production of the important little swimmers plus egg development. The best source of vitamin D is the sun, so get outside and soak up the rays😎 Enjoy the weekend everyone.
Weekend Fertility Information: Many women ask me why are they not ovulating. What could cause this? There can be many reasons, but Poylcystic ovarian syndrome is by far the largest cause. Here the eggs inside the o***y are not released on a regular basis into the fallopian tube. Instead they remain where they are in the o***y and develop into cysts.
This is because the hormone pathway between the brain and o***y has been altered.
There are excellent treatments to help induce ovulation including ovulation induction tablets called Clomid and Letrazole, Fertility injections called FSH and finally .
Many of my ladies do go on and have a family... Stay positive☺️
