The Private Credit Income Fund has returned 1.14% to investors in March, up from 1.00% in the previous month. This equates to an annualised return of 12.58% (post fees).

This past month, the S&P 500 recorded a 3% increase and a notable 10% for the quarter, making its best first quarter return since 2019. Closer to home, the RBA kept the cash rate unchanged at 4.35%, partly driven by the goal of gradually returning inflation to target while preserving employment gains.

Our Fund demonstrates a carefully selected portfolio of direct loans and real estate, and continues to provide investors with consistent monthly returns with low-risk exposure and only a minimum of $10k to invest.

22/03/2024

Our Private Credit Income Fund has returned 1.00% to investors in February. This equates to an annualised return of 12.44% p.a* (post fees) against a benchmark of 8.30% (BBSW1m 4.3% + Active Gain of 4.0%).

This past month, we saw economic growth in Australia slow due to high inflation, increased taxes and tighter monetary policy from the back end of 2023. Despite weak household spending, strong growth in business investment and public demand helped offset these effects.

Our Fund demonstrates a carefully selected portfolio of direct loans and real estate, and continues to provide investors with consistent monthly returns, low-risk exposure with only a minimum of $10k to invest.

Our Private Credit Income Fund has started the year strong, returning 1.14% to investors. This equates to a running yield of 13.70%* p.a (post fees) against a benchmark of 8.30% (BBSW1m 4.3% + Active Gain of 4.0%).

This past month, global markets experienced mixed results due to economic factors and central bank policies. Closer to home, the Australian Share Market had modest gains supported by expectations of potential interest rate cuts.

Our Fund invests in a carefully selected portfolio of direct loans and continues to provide investors with consistent monthly returns and low-risk exposure with only a minimum of $10k to invest.

Managing Partner, Andrew McVeigh, recently spoke with Danielle Ecuyer from ausbiz on a range of topics important to investors including the benefits of a diversified portfolio and to what to look for from an asset manager. Have a watch below.

17/01/2024

Our Private Credit Income Fund ended the year strongly, returning 1.13% to investors. This equates to a running yield of 13.60%* p.a (post fees) against a benchmark of 8.10% (BBSW1m 4.1% + Active Gain of 4.0%).

The Australian economy grew by 0.2% quarter-over-quarter and 2.10% year-over-year in the three months ending in September. This growth was due to a slowdown in consumer spending and a shift toward capital investment. The RBA held its policy rate steady at 4.35%, and inflation expectations have moderated, with the CPI coming in at 4.9% year-over-year down from 5.6%.

Our Private Credit Income Fund continues to produce strong returns, recording a 1.11% return for the second consecutive month. This equates to a running yield of 13.30% p.a (post fees) for our investors against a benchmark of 8.10%.*

This past month the RBA increased rates a further 25bps, taking the official cash rate to 4.35% whilst the 10-year Aust Government Bond traded higher in October, closing at 4.95% as did the 2-year Aust Government Bond which closed at 4.46%. Our fund is well positioned to navigate a high interest rate environment. Read our monthly report for more information.

Our Private Credit Income Fund continues to produce strong returns, recording a 1.11% return in September. This equates to a running yield of 13.30% p.a (post fees) for our investors against a benchmark of 8.10%.*

The release of the RBA Financial Stability review in early October pointed to home borrowers being surprisingly resilient in the face of rising interest rates. This leads our investment team to believe we are in for a longer period of higher rates and that rates are likely to increase further. The Fund’s underlying strategy has been established to address periods such as these and we anticipate limited impact to the portfolio. Read our monthly report for more information.

19/09/2023

The Remara Private Credit Income Fund continues to produce strong returns, recording a 1.09% return in August, up from 0.93% in the previous month. This equates to a running yield of 13.08% p.a (post fees) for our investors.

The enhanced monthly return is above our 0.98 - 1.01% guidance and is attributed to the cash deployment undertaken in July. The fund currently holds 12% of its asset base in cash or short dated contracts.

Over the past month, we saw global credit indices broadly tighten, leading to increased demand from fixed income investors move strongly into more yielding assets. Read our monthly report for more information.https://remara.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/RC-MonthlyReturn-Sept2023.pdf

26/08/2023

The Remara Private Credit Income Fund continues to produce strong returns, recording a 0.93% return in July, equating to a rolling 11.20% p.a. return for investors.

Over the past month, we have seen continued strength from Prime commercial borrowers with arrears across the underlying portfolio +30 days arrears of 0.41%. Underlying net losses have maintained at 0.15% p.a.

Post the RBA’s decision to hold interest rates in July, the fund’s excess cash position was deployed increasing the monthly return. The excess cash will have been fully invested across August, which will further increase returns to an estimate of 0.98% to 1.01% (post fees) for the month. Read our latest report for more information.

09/08/2023

The Remara Private Credit Income Fund continues to produce strong returns, recording a 0.84% return in June, equating to a rolling 10.05% p.a. return for investors.

In light of the recent rate decision by the RBA on July 1 and a thorough review of our property mortgage loans portfolio, we have strategically reallocated our ~15% cash position into new property mortgage loans. This move aims to further optimise returns, taking into consideration interest rate forecasts up to 2024 and the significant shortage of housing stock in the Australian marketplace.
