Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Melissa McIntosh MP at our Penrith Division. Melissa played a key role in awarding our division a volunteer grant, which enabled us to upgrade the teams emergency health service vehicle. This enhancement has significantly improved our emergency response capabilities within the local and now broader community.
We are grateful for your support Melissa. Thanks to the volunteer grant, our Penrith team were able to install a "Cel-Fi" system, which has boosted mobile service and improved telephone coverage necessary for rapid responses across the community. This advancement has made our volunteers more accessible and better equipped to respond to emergencies. 🚑📲

We sincerely thank Sydney Roosters for hosting us, and we look forward to seeing everyone next year for another incredible event! 💪🚨

We’re excited to have discussed first-aid essentials with ABC Australia Radio this morning. First-aid Trainer Lara and Volunteer Leanne from St John NSW highlighted the importance of common first-aid competency within our communities.
Statistics show most cardiac arrests occur within a private setting, such as the workplace and home environment, making it crucial for everyone to have the confidence to apply adequate first-aid and have access to the right equipment.
We encourage students who complete their first-aid training with St John to support NSW Ambulance's GoodSAM program, an app which aims to improve the survival rates of people suffering cardiac arrest in the community. Leanne speaking of her neighbourly experience, as the GoodSAM app alerts responders within 500m of medical emergencies, with Ambulance NSW coaching users through the app before paramedics can arrive on scene.
St John have been providing Australians the confidence to apply first-aid for over 140 years, and have made training more accessible than ever. St John NSW offers group onsite trainings- great for businesses, schools, and community groups. These sessions are tailored to your specific work environment and common injuries in your field.
