The role will be responsible for the venue design, site management & technical requirements of all of the event sites in coordination and collaboration with the SailGP team. The successful candidate will have 15+ years of complex multi-site major event operations experience and be the key point of contact for all key operational elements.

Meet Nathan, one of our first freelancers who has worked across many events with us including The Bloody Long Walk, Red Bull Wings For Life, Trails for Change, and most recently the Surf Life Saving Championships in Queenscliff.

Shayna has some advice for any freelancers out there who have been thinking about applying for a role through our platform…

There should come a time when you choose to request a referral or testimonial from satisfied clients – marketing yourself is part of the job!

You can ask your clients for a written testimonial, or casually ask as to whether a client has any contacts who could use your services. Regardless of the situation, use proper tact and time your request wisely.

Be as specific as possible about what you’re asking for and include an opt-out to avoid any potential awkwardness.
