Last week, 50 pre-service teachers embarked on the Beyond the Line study tour to explore the unique experiences of teaching in rural and regional NSW. Over the course of five days, they visited various schools, were inspired by dedicated educators and discovered the incredible communities and opportunities these areas have to offer.
Our pre-service teachers have just wrapped up an unforgettable week on the Beyond the Line study tour, immersing themselves in the heart of regional and rural NSW. From visiting classrooms to connecting with passionate local educators, they've experienced what it's like to teach in these close-knit communities. Along the way, they explored the unique culture, stunning landscapes and vibrant schools that make these areas so special.

If you know a HSC student, university student or industry professional considering a career in teaching, encourage them to apply for a future teacher scholarship program. Applications will be closing on Friday 13 September 2024, 11:59 pm (AEST). Scholarship recipients will receive financial support to become a teacher and a guaranteed permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of their studies.
