What is this spectacular Birds Eye view in the image we see?! You may not know what this building is or a little birdie may have told you recently about it …but it is going to be BIG and it’s going to be very SPECIAL

The NEW Sydney Fish Market is coming in hot in 2025 and we would like to announce that Cow and the Moon will be a part of this recreated ICONIC space

Why gelato in a fish market? Before we started Cow and the Moon, it had been a long time dream of our family to have a gelateria within the famous Sydney fish market. Since signing up to this dream, our father and mastermind behind our gelato has ridden his vintage vespa regularly over to the work site to watch the amazing construction and transformation of this world class piece of architecture unfold on our Sydney waterfront

This is a huge commitment and adventure for the c&Tm family but we are so excited about its potential. Bringing both tourists and locals from near and far by connecting all the parkways and walkways that link up with the city .The fish market will be more than the home of seafood. It will offer an amazing array of hospitality venues and recreational opportunities which will add to the experience of our wonderful city. This is not a last minute project…but a 10+ years in the making kinda thing. How lucky Sydney will be to have this new sustainably built fish market destination very soon!

We look forward to sharing more of our journey over the next year with you all and working alongside so many other wonderful experienced hospitality operators. We cannot wait to show you our new gelateria and its offerings!

Today Cow and the Moon turns 14 … and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us 🎉 🍦🥳
And wowieee…what an amazing journey it’s been so far! Sometimes when you are in thick of running a family business you forget to stop and smell the roses. But today,we reflect back and are truly proud of the business we have built.

So much has evolved since we took the plunge and opened up on the corner of an empty deserted old laundromat in 2010. We certainly never quite knew what was coming ahead of us! It’s almost overwhelming to think back and capture all the memories and experiences we have endured in the time between then and now.But all we can say is, the fact all of our family are still here working passionately in our shops today is the true testament to the success and the life of our business .
If we could say one thing that has kept us turning over the years it would be believing in our product, keeping our minds and eyes open at all times and putting continuous effort into being consistently consistent .

We would like to say a massive thank you to all our amazing loyal customers who support our family and our product day in day out . Also, thank you to our new community down in wollongong who have welcomed us into the Illawarra with open arms! It’s been so good for us to see how our product can be enjoyed somewhere else & we have learnt so much in the process. Anddddd to our wonderful moonie staff ( past and present) who help us so much to keep things running everyday.

We are proud to share that Cow and the Moon again has taken out CHAMPION gelato in the Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Show 2024 for our Madagascan Vanilla Bean.
This year we entered 7 flavours and received 7 medals, 4 gold and 3 silver with our Madagascan Vanilla Bean winning CHAMPION GELATO with the highest score
across ALL gelato and ice cream entries.
We like to enter competitions for many reasons, but the main being is to challenge and look outside of ourselves so we can continually work at improving our product year in year out.
We would like to thank the Royal Agricultural Society for hosting this high class competition which allows quality products & businesses to be recognised for the hard work and contribution they have in driving the Australian Dairy industry forward
