The suite of talent development programs are designed to create more agile development behaviours and outcomes via rapid cycles of idea generation and testing for screen professionals.
This year the program will expand to two streams - Platform: Lab, an incubator to support writers, creatives and producers develop new skills, collaborations and content, and Platform: Margins, which is a separate program to support script and story editors develop their skills and sensibilities in the development room.

Stunt driver Logan Holladay has set a new Guinness World Records title for the most cannon rolls in a car while filming The Fall Guy!
Holladay, who is a stunt driver for Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling’s character in the movie, performed an astonishing eight and a half rolls during the film’s 2022 production on Sydney beaches!

OPPORTUNITY ALERT!
After last year's success, the Short to Feature Fast Track initiative is back in 2024!
The initiative will provide an opportunity for up to five creative teams with fresh voices to develop a short film or proof of concept production, and to further develop the concept into a low-budget feature film.
Successful teams will be allocated an experienced, NSW-based Executive Producer by Screen NSW to provide guidance across both production of the short film and script development.
Applications for Stage 1 are now open, and close Thursday 28 March 2024.

Australians in Film and Screen Australia have announced UNTAPPED is returning for 2024 with Award-winning Masterclass speakers!
UNTAPPED is a development program for undiscovered and historically excluded Australian writers and directors to create career pathways into the LA market.
Danny Philippou, Alice Bell, Noora Niasari and Sabir Pirzada will host a series of masterclasses from March until June. Up to six recipients will be selected to participate in an online development lab between August and November, with each receiving individualised mentorship, story consultation, creative feedback, and professional development support.

The program is a career-enhancing opportunity for creative practitioners living with a disability or who are d/Deaf to intern with some of NSW’s leading arts and screen organisations.
Up to 10 interns will be selected in 2024 to work with host organisations in Regional NSW, Western Sydney and Sydney including some of NSW's leading screen organisations such as ABC Children's original team, ABC (Compass), Animal Logic, Bronte Pictures, Lingo Pictures and SBS Australia.
The internship opportunities range from technical TV production roles, digital production, program research, behind-the-scenes roles, to marketing, fundraising, audience development and event support.
