Ive had a great support unit while going through my WLS journey. When you have a great support unit it definitely keeps you on track to reaching your goals. So last month I did just that 12 months it took to reach 50kgs lost and I’m so proud of that. And I have my family too thank especially for that support. So here is my amazing “reaching my goal” gift from my husband 🤩 I’ve ALWAYS loved these cars I’ve wanted one for years and years.
Thanks so much Timmy 😘

So today marks 12 months since I had my surgery. 12 MONTHS 😱 I actually can not believe it really. 50kgs gone and I’ll be making damn sure I keep it off. Surgery is not a quick fix nor is it easy for those that think it’s the easy way out! I may not have had any issues after surgery but making your brain keep up with the changes is such a mind F$&k. It has been the hardest thing mentally to do.
But my team of drs at have been amazing Dr Kuzinkovas and Dr Davia are the best there is.
I owe them my life really, my bloods were great (except my thyroid 🤬 but that’s just a medication fix) sugars are finally down to 3 my iron is fab and all vitamin levels are great.

It’s been the best decision I’ve made.
Now I have on my team for strength training let’s do this 💪

Okay so let’s talk Protein …. since having wls, I have struggled finding a protein bar that I actually love without it having that horrid “protein” taste 🤢 until I came across these from 🥳
I can actually tell you these bars have 0 “protein” taste. Like this mint choc bar actually tastes like a mint slice, the choc peanut butter …. Snickers 😱 and the caramel toffee idk maybe a mars bar 🤩lol
Even the protein waters are great my new fav is the apple blackcurrent and the kiwi strawberry flavors.

Anyway I thought I’d share these if any one was looking for new ones to try. Also they have a sale atm too 🤪 lol

On the weekend we spent our days in Wagga Wagga for the U15 State Champs for Boys Field Hockey. It was absolutely freezing (I have not felt the cold like this ever in my life until now that I’ve lost 45kgs lol)
Max (goal keeper) has just been named into the 2023-24 U16 Boys Field Squad 🥳 Zack didn’t make it but he was too young for selection. His turn will come in July when we head to Tamworth for U13’s

I did want to say a massive thank you to Pat for going above and beyond to get the boys their skins for the weekend they definitely needed them and Zack will absolutely need them for Tamworth lol
We will definitely be using your store so much more. Thank you so much 😊

Ham, cheese, tomato and some laughing cow cream cheese toasties Bariatric style if you haven’t seen these crimp it’s before you need to investigate they are the bomb especially when you can not tolerate bread 🤨
Just on 10g of protein I’ll have a coffee or tea after this with some protein powder in there to boost my morning protein

Some progress pics 8 months down 41 kgs. The best thing I’ve done 🙏

So I had an appointment with my surgeons GP today via video link I’ve been hanging for this appointment. Dr Davia was so beautiful. Actually everyone at are amazing especially If you are searching for a surgeon and in Sydney (kogarah or Campbelltown) I would 100% recommend this practice and AMAZING and beautiful surgeon.
We are around 4 months (almost 5) and I am down 31kgs my bloods have come back AMAZINGLY iron - fab (it’s always super low!)
All my vitamins were so perfect, they never have been especially Vit D
My sugar levels perfect 🤩
Goes to show that keeping up with your vitamins after bariatric surgery is definitely a MUST and a NON NEGOTIABLE!
The only issue I’ve had was my thyroid level are sky high again BUT that’s just a change of my medication levels and that will sort out in a few week. So that explains my dizziness, headaches, my Rheumatoid Arthritis flare up. So more bloods in 6 weeks and fingers crossed we will be at a normal level again.

Okay so let’s talk Botox and fillers after weight loss surgery…. I am down almost 30kgs (1kg off fyi) I felt my face was just, idk I called it “droopy” lol so for Christmas all I wanted was botox and fillers. Lol It’s been a bit over 3 weeks since I had both of these done by the amazing .cosmeticnurse in Camden. I’m so happy with it, and I know it’s not for everyone but I think if it’s going to make you feel better about yourself go for it. I didn’t do it for any other reason or for anyone else it was for me and me alone. I love the outcome and I finally have some lips when I smile. My kids don’t know when I’m giving “the look” anymore 😠😂 when they are not listening lol but I don’t mind 😂

Photos from Mama.gets.bypassed's post 20/11/2022

So I’ve super quiet on here of late. I guess I’ve been concentrating on healing and getting back to my old self and learn the ins and outs of having a RNY Gastric Bypass. It’s taken a bit to get used to but I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of things.

I don’t have any progress pics to put up just yet I need to sort that out but it’s been just over 12 weeks and I’m 22kgs down and life is getting easier on my joints.

24kgs until I hit my goal weight 🥳

On another note 😂 Santa photos done and dusted for 2022. Yes I’ve made Max 14 and Zack 11 get in the photos, I’ve told them they’ll keep having them until Bella tells them otherwise 🫣😂😂
Now I love having nice Santa photos but if you know my kids, well nice just isn’t them lol so funny photos it is lol.

So it’s been a minute since I posted about my journey, I’ve just been really focused on healing and reaching all my goals with water intake and protein. I’m not gonna lie it’s been hard. At times it’s a complete mind f*%k to be honest lol
The side by side pic was taken at the hospital then 2 weeks later. As of today 2 weeks and 6 days PO I’m 11 kgs Down (this includes pre-op loss of 3 kgs)
So as I moved on too purée foods I was also cooking the the rest of the family, I found it easier to head to and grabbed their bariatric box. It has been a lifesaver while on purée, and one a plus they are actually quite delicious 🤤
My go too breakfast is 1 weetbix with 1/2 cup soy milk and some honey on top. I also mix fiber powder and protein powder to up my intake. Or I have 1 scrambled egg with some soy milk.
My go to snacks are cruskits with cottage cheese and avo (yes allowed by my dietitian on purée) but now I’m almost 3 weeks I can start to bring in soft foods. So today I added tuna into my cottage cheese and avo and again added protein powder to my mix. Another snack is some protein jelly from or a high protein yogurt.
Lunch would be whatever I had for dinner the night before lol. Ricotta bake was delicious and so super easy to make.

Anyway if you have any questions about the surgery hit me up. I’m happy to share what I’ve gone through. 🥰

Okay well Ive been pretty quiet since my surgery was rescheduled 8 weeks ago, I guess I just couldn’t get my hopes up AGAIN!! But here I am day 3 post op. FINALLY 🙏 I’m still in hospital for one more night, I need to down more fluids then yesterday so fingers crossed 🤞 I can manage that today.

26/06/2022

Soooo halfway through preop this happens 🫣 5 of us down for the count.

So the photo isn’t showing the T line properly but I can 100% say it’s definitely positive 🤦‍♀️

I’m so upset because I knew if I tested positive I’d have to cancel my surgery this Thursday and move it 8 weeks away 😭

Yes I know “that’s life” “it is what it is” “ you can rebook it” I get all of this but the mental game is real. I had worked myself up for this and was only 6 days away for s**t to hit the fan and now it’s 8 weeks away. I’ll need to start all over again. I’m allowed to be angry and upset for a minute. (I do not do change very well lol)

Anyway my little rant is over lol. It’s time to call the surgeon for a new date 🤞

Have a great day to you all 🥰

Photos from Mama.gets.bypassed's post 22/06/2022

Hello all

Well it’s been a week since preop started and so far I am 2.6kgs down some of these were the lunches and dinners I was having while away in Grafton including my shakes or soups. 😋 so delicious I must say. Lol
1 more week of preop to go 🫣🙌🏻

Photos from Mama.gets.bypassed's post 16/06/2022

So today marks the official first day of my wls journey. I’ve decided to use my older accounts rather than my personal page, that way I don’t annoy people with my posts. Lol so if you want to stay and follow my journey then I’d love you to stick if not simply hit that unfollow button. I want to be able to share everything, the good the bad the ugly lol everything. This is my journey and I want it to be a safe place for me to share and look back on. I found that when I started looking into wls I couldn’t really find any Australian insta pages to follow so that’s why I thought I’d share my experience. If you do want to follow a great page that I love is .gets.sleeved Chelsea is amazing and her journey has been amazing to watch.

Yesterday I had my preop bloods taken …. 13 vials of damn blood they took. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to walk out of there. 🫣😂

Maybe I should share why I’m having this surgery, because it’s not just for weight loss, between all my doctors we agreed this is the best option. So my vascular specialist, sleep and lung specialist, rheumatologist, endocrinologist and our GP all greed having the surgery will help if not fix a lot of my health issues. 🤞

So today we are driving a good idk like 8 hours to Grafton, so I had to be prepared. I have my shakes ready to go, the others stopped at maccas for lunch so I got myself a salad I didn’t eat all the chicken because my preop is only allowed non starch veggies so I’ll just limit my shakes today.

I’ll leave it at that for now lol

Chat soon 🥰😘
