Evans High School will be participating in the Tell Them From Me Parent Survey. The link to the survey has been emailed to all parents/guardians today.
The survey can assist in strengthening parent, teacher and school collaboration by providing schools with a deeper understanding of parents’ perceptions of their child’s experiences at home and school.
We strongly encourage your participation to better inform school priorities.
The survey is conducted entirely online on mobile devices, tablets or computers. It will typically take 15 minutes to complete and is completely confidential. The parent survey will be conducted between Monday 9 September - Friday 8 November 2024.
The survey is available in 23 languages.

Our learning assistance faculty recently hosted a highly successful Market Day, where students had the opportunity to spend the LAF tokens they had diligently earned throughout the year. The event was a hit, featuring a lively disco, an ice cream and milkshake stand, a tasty hot dog stand, and exciting ball games. Both students and staff enjoyed a day full of fun and festive activities, making it a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved.
Evans High School ran the STEM Youth Outreach programs conducted by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) student chapter of Engineers Without Borders. These STEM educational workshops are to encourage students of all ages to pursue a career in science and engineering. These workshops aim to introduce students to the engineering method, using human-centred design thinking to complete challenging activities such as building floating houses.
On Wednesday, we hosted a deeply meaningful cultural ceremony in celebration of NAIDOC Week. The event was a vibrant tribute to the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Year 7 had a fantastic history lesson today with Mr Kumar! They engaged in a hands-on activity where they crafted 3D pyramids, which brought ancient Egyptian architecture to life in an exciting and interactive way. It was a creative way for them to visualize and understand the significance of these iconic structures.
Michael Atiah of year 10 has successfully completed a 2 week National Skills week program in Electrotechnology.
Celebrating National Skills Week, the Educational Pathways Program Blacktown (North, East & West) and Parramatta (North) group of schools are running a Head Start initiative for students across 12 schools with NECA, an Electrotechnology and Utilities course. This Pre-Apprenticeship course offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a competitive edge in the ever-evolving field of electrotechnology.
