Menstruating isn’t a choice, but those experiencing period poverty often have
to choose between period products and other essential items just to get by.
We would rather they did not have to choose.
That’s why we are proud to be an official collection point for Share the Dignity this August. We accept all products in original packaging, including pads, tampons, maternity pads, period un**es, menstrual cups and incontinence products. The donation box is in D Block Office.
On Friday, Year 7 and 8 students had their ALPHA Award Lunch. A big congratulations to the award recipients.
A huge thank you for casting your votes and fueling our decision-making! We are excited to announce our new school captains, who are ready to lead with flair and finesse. Congratulations to all!
Gracie Parramatta was full of energy today as we kicked off the Stage 4 Boys Active Leadership progam. Coach George will work with our boys this term to develop mental strength, resilience, respect and safe interactions. Cumberland Police Area Command YO Dean Tonkin is continuing to support the development of our students and is enjoying the positive relationships that are being established along the way. Learning was definitely fun today!
Robotics Club takes place every Tuesday after school from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Get a glimpse of the students' enthusiasm during the sessions.
Access to period products is a right, not a privilege. But 1 in 5 Australians have
been unable to afford period products at some point in their life. That is why
we are collecting period products to help those in need this month, as part of
Share the Dignity August .
We accept all products in
original packaging, including pads, tampons, maternity pads, period un**es,
menstrual cups and incontinence products. The donation box is in D Block Office.
Last Friday we welcomed students from Beresford Road Public School and Ringrose Public School as we celebrated NAIDOC Week and Public Education Week. Primary school students engaged in a number of activities that were led by our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the primary students and hope to see them at GHS again soon.
Thank you to everyone who has already voted. Please note that voting ends tomorrow, August 13 at 10:00AM, so make sure that you get YOUR voice heard for YOUR captains!
Congratulations to Year 9 and Year 10 students who were recognised for their achievements at the ROSE Breakfast on Friday.
Dearest Gentle Readers of Greystanes,
It is with a pulsating heart and trembling hands that I pen this missive to you. The valiant Parramatta Eels came so perilously close to overcoming The Panthers this evening. The stadium itself seemed to shimmer with a fervent energy, yet despite their unwavering resolve and spirited play, the victory eluded them. The players demonstrated an abundance of pride and passion in their performance.
The jersey, now imbued with the essence of their valiant effort, stands as a symbol of heart and dedication. I implore you, dear Greystanes readers, to seize the opportunity to claim this coveted prize by entering the year 12 raffle. All proceeds will support our yr 12 2024 cohort.
With earnest anticipation,
Lady Greystanes (Ms Kriz)
