Are you wondering what we’ll get up to in our strength and conditioning classes? 💪🏼

Here’s a little snippet of what you can expect: some upper body work focusing on strength and mobility with a little core for spice. This sequence is great in particular for aerialists because it strengthens your shoulders, arms and hip flexors all of which are required for inversions for example. There’s still a couple of days left of our first birthday festival month and we’re going through some exercises that make the no. 1. This is a 🦢 Swan to handstand 🤸🏾 combo on the ladderbarrel.

Why would you want to do this version? Because it integrates the entire body and utilises the strength we’ve built up until now.

🩵 Swan builds back flexibility and strength, glute and hip extensor strength while lengthening the front body - hip flexors, abs, chest and quads.

🩵 handstand is the ultimate shoulder and arm strengthening exercise. Use the body awareness you’ve cultivated to stack your bones to hold the balance and your core strength to move in and out with control and grace.

Even if you don’t do this version exactly, you can still get the benefits with progressions working up to this.

Having goals and something to work towards keeps us motivated and engaged in our progress. 💫✨
