I love a good exit! 💁♀️😘
Thanks to James Valentine for allowing me to be his first Exit Interview on his new segment on ABC Sydney today.
A great chance to reflect on what an honour (and what fun!) it’s been to serve in public office, securing more than $25 billion of federal and NSW government support for local governments and communities, including in my own beautiful City of Sydney.
Doors have opened at a stunning new cafe with an incredible Labor and Unions history.
The expansive Eveleigh Rail Workshops started springing up in the 1880s, servicing and building steam locomotives, carriages and parts.
It was the heart of NSW Railways for about 100 years and was the largest railway workshop in the southern hemisphere.
As our railways moved from the age of steam to electricity and diesel, maintenance moved to areas like Clyde, Chullora and across Sydney and many of the workshops closed their doors.
We fought so hard to ensure Eveleigh's proud legacy of rail maintenance was saved, but it's now surrounded by some exciting new neighbours.
The The Grounds of Alexandria Coffee Factory has opened in the rail workers canteen area of the Locomotive Works.
It's a brilliant and careful re-imagining of the space, I can't wait to drop in for a coffee!
I’m so proud to support Zann Maxwell for Sydney and Labor’s team in the City of Sydney!

My wonderful Dad was blind in one eye for the entirety of my life, with a visibly turned eye. Growing up, I had never noticed until someone pointed it out to me as an adult.
He lived for fun and family.
He taught me how to see only what matters.
Love you Dad. Happy Fathers Day to all the wonderful fathers, and sending love to all those who are missing their family today.
Finally, Glebe Labor’s Sadie King has been honoured with a plaque on her corner.
Unionist, Labor legend and all round wonder women, she is so missed. I think of her every time I pass her corner of Glebe Point Road. ❤️
