Being one of the contributing authors in “INTUITIVE - Knowing Her Truth” was my first step forward into the world of being a published author. It was the step that gave me the confidence to then push on and write my own book.

Little did any of us know at the time that it would be the first the first in the INTUITIVE series.

“INTUITIVE - Speaking Her Truth” launched yesterday and it is brilliant. There is something quite magical about reading the stories and lived experience of women connecting to their intuition and the circumstances that led them to speak their truth.

I don’t know how does it but she keeps drawing the most incredible women together to share their stories.

Guess where I’m heading….

It might surprise you that being an author, I sometimes (often) struggle to find the write words to convey how I feel.

Feeling is my superpower, it’s also my primary intuitive sense. Some days (once again… often!) the feelings get so strong that I shut down completely so I don’t go into overwhelm.

Brigid is one of the few people in my circle who totally sees, knows and understands that about me. She’s also someone who doesn’t let me shrink back and hide in those moments of overwhelm.

I was thrilled when Brigid agreed to write the foreword in Spiritual Bein Human. But when I finally read what she wrote, I was lost for words….

Do you see the house with a giant heart on it?

A few weeks ago, I probably wouldn’t have noticed this out on one of our regular family walks. It’s only now that I can see how hard I’d been going. After taking a step back, I can see just how much energy (and lack of sleep) was poured into writing and launching Spiritual Being Human, as well as living, working and parenting through Sydney’s 4 month lockdown, starting a new day job (and working on another little passion project, yet to be launched).

Ahhh, deep breaths… We made it out the other side, sanity intact and perceptions heightened enough to notice all the magic around… like a giant heart on the side of a house! Seriously, how awesome is that?

Have you heard that old cliché that everything happens for a reason?

Well it does. Especially illness!

The “reason” is not that you’re to blame. It’s not your fault, nor is it punishment for your past actions.

Illness is a gift 🎁

The illness itself might be pretty confronting, but there is always a gift to be found.

I wrote Spiritual Being Human because it was the book I needed, years ago when I was stuck living in duality. When science and mysticism were polar opposites in my world.

To be totally honest, some days I didn’t even want to write it all. The task felt too big. Writing a book defied logic. In theory, I didn’t have time, I didn’t have experience writing a book, and who was I to step in to a space already full of brilliant authors?

Spiritual Being Human didn’t come from my rational, thinking brain, it was driven by my intuitive heart-brain.

Seeing reviews like this fill me with so much joy. To know that this book has resonated so beautifully with another, is what it’s all about.

My biggest fan, but also my harshest critic (nothing like a 7yo to keep it real). Lucky she’s so damn cute! 😂

Despite its lack of finesse, I keep this picture on the wall above my desk. It’s a vision I drew, whilst on retreat two years ago.

This is me, on stage, speaking during my book launch tour. (You might notice that the title of this first book evolved somewhat, but never say never, there are still more ideas percolating).

The world has changed in those two years and there are no stages, no public gatherings....

But my dream has become a reality. In 9 days, Spiritual Being Human will out. Instead of travelling around and speaking on stage, I’m sitting in the comfort of my home being featured on podcasts and interviewed by some amazing women.

Dreams really do come true!
