Cosh Living recently had the opportunity to style Heyington Place, a beautiful heritage 1930s Toorak home owned by renowned Melbourne landscape architect Jack Merlo. The interiors and landscape, which recently underwent a stunning renovation in collaboration with Studio 11:11, provided the perfect backdrop for Kett's Australian-inspired indoor and outdoor furniture collections, along with outdoor pieces from European brands Tribu and Atelier Vierkant.
Heyington Place Cosh Living offers luxury modern furniture, designer outdoor furniture for unique outdoor living spaces. We are committed to helping Australians furnish their outdoor & living spaces.
We are thrilled to announce that Kett's Australian-made furniture is featured in the newly redesigned Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C. The project, led by the renowned architectural firm Bates Smart, integrates an Australian narrative throughout its design, celebrating the country's natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Working closely with Justin Hutchinson, the Design Director at Kett, Mark Healey from Bates Smart selected the Johanna Sofas and Occasional Chairs for the foyer. Inspired by the rugged terrain of Victoria's Johanna region, these pieces work perfectly to enhance the narrative of the embassy's interior.
In a joint initiative, the sofa was customised to include an innovative side table to showcase the Ora Lamp by Ross Gardham. This custom integrated table blends seamlessly with the original design, continuing the line of the sofa’s solid oak base. Extending beyond the upholstery, the cantilevered solid oak platform is gently curved, reflecting the influence of our natural environment.
This collaboration not only represents a significant milestone for Kett but also honours their dedication to craftsmanship and sustainable design. The inclusion of their furniture in such an influential space underscores the global relevance of Australian design and our role in promoting it on the world stage.

When it comes to interior design, few endeavours are as rewarding as the task of turning a space into a welcoming and refined environment that evokes a true sense of home. This was precisely the aim of the Curtin Heritage Living Project, a residential aged care facility in Cottesloe, WA, masterfully designed by Hames Sharley.
Recently, we had the privilege of speaking with Emily Wilson, one of the lead interior designers who embarked on the journey of creating a welcoming sense of familiarity for the residents transitioning into Curtin Living. In our latest blog, Emily tells us more about how the teams at and worked together to surpass conventional perceptions of an institution. Additionally, she shares how this collaborative project, along with the furnishings from Cosh Living, led to transforming a space that now radiates warmth and sophistication.
