Day 6 of Signature was a long, hard day in the saddle. 207km from Warrnambool to Mt Gambier pushing into the wind. Every rider in P6 was amazing, working hard the whole day.

I don’t post much these days, but some of you know I ride my bike a bit. I’m in Hobart tonight and the the excitement is building. Tomorrow we roll out heading for Adelaide. Over 9 days, we’ll ride 1400km with 12,500m elevation, with the Tour de Cure Signature Tour.

It’s the calm before the storm. Tomorrow morning (Monday), we roll out to start AltTour23, our 900km gravel riding epic from Mildura to Cape Otway.

I love this time before a big event. There’s nothing more to think about … the training is done, the bike is ready and the gear is packed. There’s only excitement for the ride.

Thanks to the generosity of so many family and friends, our small group has raised over $110k so far for cancer research, an incredible number. Your support and enthusiasm has us motivated now to push higher, to fund a second project.

Our day 1 route takes us 143km from Mildura to Manangatang. That’s a decent stretch, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. We’ll roll out at 3 degrees with clear skies, so we’ll get some kms into the legs before the sun makes its presence felt toward midday.
