AFT Coaching August 2023 Client of the Month!

Meet Jess one of AFT Coaching’s newest members. Jess started training to work on toning and confidence in the gym settings.

Since training she has come so far with her progress and has made the free weights her new BFFs. With each rep, she's not just toning her muscles, she is also gaining confidence and boosting her mindset.

Some words from Jess:
“I am able to do the most in a workout I have ever done. Little things are showing, weeks ago I struggled to get 10 reps at a light weight, now I am still struggling but at higher weight. I just want to thank you Hanah cause I wouldn’t be doing this without your help and guidance. My self confidence has already come leaps and bounds from what is was and I can’t wait to see what else I can achieve in the weeks to come.”

AFT Coaching July 2023 client of the month.

Holly has been a member at Active Fitness for a while now but after having her first child she needed some motivation and direction to get back into training.

Holly is a keen Netballer and hence wanted to get stuck into some strength and conditioning to assist with her frequent games.

Since starting the AFT Coaching Program with Coach Bec, Holly has seen positive results with both fat loss and muscle gain which were shown on the in-house Evolt Body Composition Scanner.

Holly has been very consistent and disciplined with her customised training program, which was extremely important for her to reach her goals.

Holly continues to push herself in training whilst moving into her second phase of training.

AFT Coaching June 2023 Client of the Month

~Russell Maloney~

Russell has been a member at Active Fitness Tamworth for a few years and at the beginning of the year Russell too took part in the Active Fitness Coaching Challenge.

After seeing results from the challenge Russell was determined to push himself further with his fitness. He signed up with Coach Hanah at Active Fitness Coaching for weekly training sessions and since then has met several of his fitness goals.

Russell is the Active Fitness Coaching client of the month because of his commitment to his training and nutrition. His consistency and focus to his program, weekly session and all tasks set by the coach.

At AFT Coaching we track all clients progress with our EVOLT360 scan. Every AFT PT Program comes with an included body scan at the commencement of every 6 week program.

When?
👉🏼 ideally, at the start and end of each program.

Why?
👉🏼 with each scan you learn 40+ measurements about your body.

How?
👉🏼 it works simply by passing a safe electrical current through the feet and hands. Each scan is non evasive and take as little as 60 seconds.

B stance Romanian deadlift.

What is it:
The B stance Romanian Deadlift is a great compound exercise to help build strength in the lower body.

Equipment:
-Dumbbells
-Barbell

Tips:
-Hold dumbbells or barbell with overhand grip.
-Hinge at the waist, back flat control the movement and lower to your shins.
-Make sure to keep your core tight and your shoulders back to help protect your back.

This is a great exercise to improve your lower body strength.

Struggling with your New Year goals 😣

Read the below for some helpful pointers ⬇️

🎯 set measurable goals: rather than I want/need to loose 10kgs, start by setting smaller measurable goals for yourself. Like by the end of January I want to have lost 2kgs and be going to the gym 3 times a week.

🍽️ meal prep: plan in advance, this will save time, money and food waste. Waiting to prepare your food when you are hungry leads to larger portion sizes and/or excessive snack eating.

🏃🏼‍♀️ complete daily steps: walking is an effective form of low impact exercise and active recovery. Work towards hitting 10 000 steps per day by taking the stairs, going for a walk during your lunch break, park further away from the stores. All these will increase your daily steps and help you reach your daily goal.

💤 get 7-9 hours sleep: being tired can result in lack of motivation and consistency. Start by setting an alarm 30 minutes before you wish to be in bed. In that 30 mins, put your phone down and begin your bedtime routine. The more you do this the more your body will adjust and become familiar with the new routine.

🚰 increase fluid: drink more water, when you workout you need water to replace the minerals and nutrients lost from when you sweat. Not a big water drinker! Start with what you’re comfortable with and increase gradually over time.

📸 track progress: tracking your progress such as before and after photos and documenting your training allows you to see what is and isn’t working for you. Tracking gives you the control to take action on what is next.

Last but not least, be patient. This will make all the difference. Creating new habits takes time ⏱️🫶🏼
