#2023
The relationship between freight partners is one of the most critical points in a forwarder company. Building a relationship with your freight partners takes time and communication, but it is also essential for the growth of your business...
InterLinkSQ will be the most advanced independent Intermodal terminal in South East Queensland and will be partnering with a freight forwarder .
Seaway is forward-thinking regarding freight and can offer competitive pricing to the Port of Brisbane from Charlton.
Inland Rail will provide a critical link in the existing national rail network to support supply chain resilience and provide much-needed additional freight capacity.
Total domestic freight volumes are expected to grow more than 20% between 2023 and 2040 driven by both population and economic growth.
By 2050 it is estimated that almost 70% of the freight to be carried on Inland Rail will be for domestic use into and out of South East Queensland! This includes household goods and groceries produced in Australia and consumed in our major cities.
InterLinkSQ is unequally placed to enable this "future of freight" movement with key road and rail links into SEQ and the Port of Brisbane.
Like many others, InterLinkSQ's phone lines are currently not working!
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
InterLinkSQ is helping Queensland stay competitive by enabling industries to export to the world in the era of increasing globalisation.
InterLinkSQ is at the junction of the existing Western Rail line and the future Inland Rail line. The Intermodal Terminal will create a transfer point for goods moving from our producing regions to the west to domestic markets via Inland Rail in the South, with connectivity to major road networks.
"We Shall Remember Them, Lest we Forget."
InterLinkSQ – We get through the most challenging and complex projects because teamwork is something we take seriously.

These works see the realisation of a major masterplanned development more than 10 years in the making and includes over 200ha of industrial zoned land, and a major intermodal rail freight terminal.
The project is expected to be completed towards the end of the year and is our 4th project currently underway with InterLinkSQ.

PROJECT UPDATE ....
Blair Batts, General Manager InterLinkSQ met with ARTC and Newlands Group out at site to view the commencement of earthworks surrounding the access roads, sewer, water and telecommunications relocation works on the 200ha development.
Such an exciting time for the region! When fully developed InterLinkSQ (along with these works) will include a Intermodal Rail Freight Terminal with connections to both the Queensland Rail Western Line and ARTC - Inland Rail.

Anzac Day 2022
LEST WE FORGET
Never forgotten. Always remembered. Let us give thanks.
Like you, InterLinkSQ cares about the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. Rail produces significant environmental benefits and is essential for the reduction of CO2 emissions.
For every container that is transferred from InterLinkSQ to the Port of Brisbane by rail (as opposed to road), will reduce Green House Gas emissions by 125kg of CO2.
With the freight task in Australia set to double by 2030, we cannot afford to not embrace rail!
The team at InterLinkSQ would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Safe Easter 🐣
Our office will reopen on Tuesday 19th April 2022.
Enjoy your break 🐰

With over 300 employees across their business, Seaway is a shipping agency specialising in sea freight forwarding, air freight forwarding, road and rail transport, warehouse distribution, perishable cargo, out of gauge cargo, customs broking and transit insurance.

Intermodal transport is the use of two modes of freight, (e.g. truck and rail), to transport goods from shipper to consignee or producer to purchaser. The intermodal process usually begins with a container being moved by a truck to a rail through an ‘intermodal terminal’ such as the one to be constructed at InterLinkSQ, then back to a truck to complete the process.
InterLinkSQ’s intermodal terminal will be run by SEAWAY Intermodal. InterLinkSQ’s location at the junction of the regional West Moreton Rail line and the Inland Rail line makes it a prime location for an intermodal terminal.
Last week we had the pleasure of joining Garth Hamilton MP, Cr Carol Taylor, ARTC Inland Rail Business Development Manager Jo Tait and Barry O’Sullivan from Newlands Group to announce that InterLink will be the latest Queensland company to benefit from Inland Rail through an $18 million funding agreement.
The Inland Rail project is a 1700km railway line directly linking Brisbane to Melbourne. This line will transform Australia’s freight networks, enhance supply chain efficiency and safety, and unlocking regional development and employment opportunities for local communities.
Newlands Civil Construction have been engaged by InterLink as the Design and Construct Contractor to undertake the service diversion works component of the project. This project will see numerous kilometres of pipelines and communication cables relocated. Included in these diversion works is Toowoomba Regional Council’s Sewer Rising Main and New Hope Group’s Recycled Water Mains and fibre optic works. Prior to completion of the service relocation, 400,000 m3 of dirt will need to be moved and stockpiled on site to accommodate the new service relations works.
We could not be prouder to be teaming up with ARTC and Newlands Group to bring Inland Rail to QLD
InterLinkSQ are proud to support the Goondiwindi Races again this year. Make sure you get your tickets for what will be a great week.
