Jamieson has made incredible strides since being scouted at a school boccia tournament. In just a short time, she’s won multiple medals and made her Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020. Now, she’s back and ready to compete at the highest level in Paris.

Six days to go and today we’re highlighting who will become a six-time Paralympian at . Tristan is captain of our , leading a team that includes six Paralympic first-timers.

Diagnosed with bone cancer at just nine years old, Tristan defied the odds with a spirit that has driven his wheelchair basketball career to greatness. Over nearly two decades, he has earned multiple Paralympic and World Championship medals, including gold at Beijing in 2008.

Now, he leads the team with unmatched experience, ready to guide them to new heights in Paris. 🏀

At just 22, Rhiannon’s potential knows no bounds. She made her debut at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, winning silver in the 100m T38. Her performance at Tokyo 2020 and a World Championship silver medal in the 400m last year proved she’s ready to compete with the world’s best.

• Today marks eight 8 days to go, and we’re celebrating , an eight-time Paralympic medallist and the co-captain of our Australian Paralympic Team. Angie’s Paralympic career spans 24 years, showcasing her incredible talent across seven Paralympic Games.

Angie made her Paralympic debut at Sydney 2000 and hasn’t looked back, winning medals in Athens, Beijing, and London.

We’re so excited to see what she can do in Paris.

Nine days to go! is one of nine athletes from the ACT who will represent Australia at the Paralympic Games.

Vanessa won a gold medal and a silver for Germany at Rio 2016 and then gold for her new country, Australia, at the Tokyo Games. She is the reigning world record holder in the women’s long jump T61.

We’re excited to see what Vanessa will achieve this year, especially as she competes for the first time as a mum!

Whilst the Paralympic Games begin on 28 August, in Australia it will be Thursday 29th August at 3.55am that coverage of the Opening Ceremony begins.

So today we mark 10 days to go.

Each day we will celebrate our incredible athletes who are about to represent Australia on the world stage, starting with para-cyclist Darren Hicks.

Darren was 10 years old when he got his first BMX racing bike, and now nearly 30 years later will pull on the green and gold for his second Paralympic Games.

“It’s just been the only sport I’ve ever wanted to do,” he says.
