Yoga Therapy uses the tools of yoga to create an individualised program depending on the students goals and where they are at the time of commencement.
Yoga Therapy (cikitsa) focuses on student care that identifies and addresses the causes of health/well-being with interventions using the tools of yoga, focusing on health promotion and optimising well being. You will work towards improved health and wellbeing through the application of yoga. It will be YOUR yoga therapy, specific to you! No two individuals are the same so why would you do exactly

Kicking off early on Thursday at the Wholebeing Initiative Studio, then on Friday, a sunset beach yoga class.
This year's IDOY theme is Yoga for Self and Society.
The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga.
It integrates the body, mind, spirit, and soul, offering a holistic approach to health and well-being that brings peace to our hectic lives.
Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world, and nature.
In conjunction with Wholebeing Initiative, I'll be back in Ingham again each Thursday for yoga!
Join me for Seated Yoga at Optimise Health and Wellness, starting this Thursday at 9am.

This was held in collaboration with MS Queensland and The Yoga Partnership.
World MS Day takes place every year to bring the global MS community together to share stories and raise awareness of the realities of what it’s like to live with multiple sclerosis (MS).
This year’s theme is My MS Diagnosis, with the tagline ‘Navigating MS Together’. The theme emphasises the journey of navigating a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, exploring the obstacles people face while searching for clarity, and underscores the significance of getting the right diagnosis.
This new theme and campaign will highlight global barriers to diagnosing MS, raising awareness by sharing real stories and data.

We found our strength, energy, vitality and sense of clarity within us as we did our sun salutes, prepping for the rest of the day.
Also, these qualities we drew from the sun were very helpful as we made our way to the coffee shop after the beach sunrise yoga session this morning.😁☕️

In our pranayama and meditation class this morning we experienced a trataka meditation. A beautiful meditation which helps the eyes to become still, which in turn allows the mind to to also become still.
If you'd like to join in the next fortnightly meditation class, come along on Saturday the 16th March at 11am.

Last Tuesday, at the belated TCC 2024 Australia Day Awards Ceremony, our group received an incredible NINE nominations! 🇦🇺 It's truly heartwarming to see the positive impact our group has on so many lives as we continue to grow and evolve.
We're humbled by the recognition the groups contributions to the Townsville community received at the event. The fact that our group is entirely run by volunteers never fails to amaze people! 🙏
