The Barleyshakes are touring Qld in a duo format and will take you on a beautiful breathtaking Celtic journey. Qld music award winners for world music, notable members are also soloists for the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Prepare to be entertained

This Feel Good Thursday evening 11/04/24 at the Herbert Hotel come on down for some entertainment and good food. The kitchen fires up at 6pm
This weeks line-up includes:
🎵 Robin Towns: A blast from the past, Robin used to be heavily involved with the club before he spread his retiring wings to the Tablelands. He joins us to sing a couple of tunes and reminisce of the good ol' days!
🎵 Ronion Pocketonion: Serenading us with his unique originals, we've seen Ronion develop his style and we love having him on our stage, we're sure you will too.
🎵 Emi: Another special treat, Emi is amazing on guitar and may just bring a friend or two to join him.
🎵 O Cheartier Mochroi: Making their debut to the folk club, Jacqui and the band will be sure to entertain us and we look forward to hearing their sound.

Expression of interest – Live sound production training

Townsville Folk and Acoustic Music Club (TFAMC) is seeking expressions of interest from locals, (including club members) to fill 6 available training places for live sound production.

TFAMC is a not-for-profit incorporated organisation that has been running for over 50 years. Our mission statement is ‘For the Love of Music and Humanity’. We hold fortnightly Folk Club events at the Herbert Hotel in Townsville city.

The training is structured for participants to learn how to set up and use the club’s digital mixing desk and PA equipment in a live performance environment.
