Unfortunately this is way too common and getting much harder to pick!

This scam happens when an email account hacker gains access to your account and sits and waits to intercept a large outgoing invoice and change the bank account details on the email/PDF and then pushes it through to your inbox. It still appears as though it's come from the supplier and in many cases, you're expecting the invoice to come in so you don't even question the bill.

The best way to avoid falling victim to this scam is to CALL (not email) your suppliers if their bank account details have changed to confirm the change of details.

Always make sure your anti-virus is running and up to date on your devices and backup, backup, backup!!

JUST ANNOUNCED: Fair Work have handed down their Annual Wage Review and all Awards will be going up by 2.5%. Check the link below to find out the date your award will be affected.

Remember if you pay 'above the award' or on a 'salary' make sure you check that with the new increase your employees still meet the BOOT (Better-off-overall) Test.

Reminder that paying on a 'salary' doesn't automatically exempt employers from paying other entitlements like leave loading, allowances and overtime!!!
