Winter grooming for your beloved furry friend is very important to keep them happy, healthy and active during the cold season. Make sure to brush your puppy's coat thoroughly at least twice a week to remove loose hair , untangle mats and distribute their natural skin oils through the coat. Staying warm and comfortable will keep them calm and content π₯°.
We have extended our opening hours to include TUESDAYS! Call us on 69256002 to book in your pet for a warm hydrobath and groom during the cooler months to keep their coat in tip top shape.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Happy, hoppy Easter everyone! π°π« Enjoy the long weekend π₯°

This is your sign to check your pup's nails π
Long nails on yourself can be a stunning look, but are downright dangerous on your pet.
Your dog's nails can become overgrown very easily through irregular grooming schedules, growth being hidden by furry paws, infrequent walks or straight-up refusal of nail trimming from sensitive-pawed pups. The rate of nail growth also increases with age, meaning older dogs require more regular nail maintenance.
Overgrown nails present a variety of health hazards. Foreign objects may become trapped under the nails, the length may cause difficulty walking, and longer nails increase your pet's risk of infection through breaking the skin whilst itching. Left unattended nails can even become ingrown, curling back into the foot pad and causing pain and potential for infection π’
To avoid these nasty complications we recommend setting a regular grooming schedule that includes nail clipping and a nail check. If clipping at home, consult your regular groomer or veterinarian on the proper technique, as improper nail clipping can lead to infection or nail trauma. Additionally, regular walks on pavement or hard surfaces are an easy and natural way help to gently file your pet's nails πΎ

Peek-a-boo! Cash had a DRAMATIC transformation with his recent groom, shedding his bangs and reshaping his face to show off those gorgeous puppy eyes π₯Ήβ€οΈ
Tilly is looking smart & sweet with her refreshed haircut and accessories! π·π As a Poodle X Maltese, Tilly's curly coat is low-shedding and allergy friendly. Whilst wonderful for keeping your lounge fur-free, there's always a trade-off!
Poodle mixes with low-shedding and non-shedding coats need regular grooming visits every 6-8 weeks to remove built-up debris and keep their coats healthy. Daily brushing at home is essential to prevent mats from forming. These severe tangles can cause skin irritation and bruising, with the only safe course of action being to remove the mat completely by clipping the affected area closely to the skin. Though best for the pet's health, this cut is a last resort, and we strongly recommend prevention via regular grooming.
Take the hassle out of booking by asking us to set your pet to a 6, 7 or 8-weekly schedule. If you'd like to make an appointment, or chat about your grooming options, give us a call on βοΈ(02) 6925 6002
