We had such a fun weekend here at the Sydney Disability Connection Expo! Julie and the Bradannii team want to say thank you to absolutely everyone who came out and spoke to us, who entered our competitions, took a photo with the frames, who took a bag and a cookie!
We loved every minute of this weekend and we are very grateful!

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea!

Today, like many others around the country, we celebrated Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in our office.
We’ve all been affected by this disease, so it’s important we all donate to get closer to a Cancer free future.

All funds raised go directly into the research, prevention and support of those impacted.

Josh and Jon went on a holiday down the coast to Gerroa for 3 days this week. Josh and Jon enjoyed their holiday despite the rain. They went fishing, bushwalking and many other exciting activities. They even had a possum visit their cabin!

Samantha went down the coast to Burill Lake over the Anzac Day long weekend. Samantha enjoyed going to the beach, paddle boarding, spending time with her support workers and toasting marsh mellows by the fire at night.

John went to the footy last night to watch his favourite team Manly V Sharks. John was very eager to go and watch his team play, he stated " I just cant wait to go and see the game ". John was disappointed that manly lost but he was happy that Manly gave it a good go in the second half.

John is a season ticket holder, who is the self proclaimed number 1 Manly fan.

Bradannii provides access to the community, we ensure we encourage and include opportunities for participants to pursue their interests, motivating interaction and socialising with others in the community. Whether it is meeting up for picnics, game days, or seeking experiences that help build capacity and life skills.

- Traineeships
- Extensive support during your traineeship and beyond
- Flexible roster
- Ongoing dedicated training and support
- Monday to Sunday morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Duties will include:
• Supporting the client to make decisions and have choices
• Supporting the client to identify and achieve goals
• Promoting independence and independent living skills
• Implementing and maintaining the behavioural support plan
• Assisting with appointments and transport needs
• Engaging the client within the community
• Assisting with any personal care necessary
• Monitoring the administration of medication

Your experience:
• 1-3+ years paid experience as a disability support worker
• Experience working one-to-one with individuals with physical and mental health disabilities.
• Experience implementing behavioural support plans
• Mental Health qualification and experience

Essential criteria
• Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual support or similar qualification and experience in related fields
• NSW Driver Licence and Comprehensive Insurance for your car
• Working With Children Check
• NDIS Workers Clearance
• First Aid and CPR
• Full Covid-19 Vaccination and Certificate
