GWS Giants AFLW Team will be attending the Bomaderry v Kiama Women’s Premier Division match this Saturday, July 6 at Artie Smith Oval.

Round 11 saw all 3 senior teams which played come away with some great wins

Round 11 is here and all our teams are home today at Figtree Oval apart from the Men's Prems who have a bye.

It's fitting that we are at home this weekend as we will be celebrating a 200 game milestone for a life member of our club in Kat Gow. An inaugural member of the Wollongong Saints, Kat has been a part of the whole journey which has found the Saints land at Figtree AFC.
A big decision at the time but I think we can all agree that it has been a massive success and that comes with many thanks to Kat who works hard on the field but even harder behind the scenes in helping this club get to where it is today.

Congratulations Kat, we we will all be cheering you on today!

Today marks a monumental milestone as Kat Gow steps onto the field for her 200th game with the Saints! From her first game to becoming the backbone of our team, every game has been a journey of passion, determination, and unforgettable moments.

For Kat, it's more than just a number. It's about the camaraderie with teammates who have become like family, the opportunity to inspire and help girls throughout their footy journey, and the dedication to building the Saints,

Kat will be playing her 200th game for the saints today at figtree oval at 11am so if you have some time please try and get down there to cheer her on!

3 wins and a loss for seniors, amazing effort by all teams!

This was a disappointing weekend with the majority of our junior games washed out and unable to play. A lucky few did get to play down south and more 50th games celebrated with 13/15s girls Kiah Evans.

Round 10 sees all four senior teams in action at North Dalton Park tomorrow, commencing at 9:10 am. The Prems Women will face off against the Northern Districts Tigers, followed by the Reserve Women and Men, and finally, the Premium Men all taking on Wollongong Lions AFC

Nine Swans feature in U18 Allies squad Nine athletes from the QBE Sydney Swans Academy have been selected in the U18 Allies squad for 2024.

Great idea for the holidays

The annual Paul Downing Shield match was played last Saturday between Port Kembla AFC - The Blacks and Figtree Australian Football Club in AFL South Coast reserve grade. This is a very significant annual event for both clubs in Paul's memory.

Paul was a wonderful player for Port Kembla in his playing days and later much appreciated and respected at Figtree in his operations management role until his untimely passing in 2021.

Figtree has retained the trophy by winning this year's game with Ben Ryan winning the combo jersey as best on ground.

What an an amazing morning of footy and celebrations down at Figtree on Sunday. Figtree juniors taking away 7 wins out of 8 games🔵⚪️🔵. We also celebrated with our juniors their 50th games.

The Kings birthday bye round has come and gone which often signals the half way mark of the year. It has been a great start to the year with 3 teams sitting 2nd and the Women's reserves sitting 3rd.
This week is round 9 for all our teams with everyone except the Men's reserves heading to Bomaderry, they will be at Port Kembla and playing off for the now traditional Paul Downing memorial trophy.
