Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Belarus have published Joint Report on Human Rights Situation in Certain Countries
The facts it contains show that racist and neo-colonial views are typical of Western "model democracies" in principle. This is clearly reflected in their desire to impose a "rules-based order" they themselves have devised and to oppose it to international law. This approach builds on an inherently racist division of states into those who "have the right" to lay down these rules and those who must strictly follow them, be it even to the detriment of their national interests.
With regard to the human rights issues raised in the Report, our countries firmly believe that applying the so-called double-standards while assessing certain situations and phenomena remains a major challenge in this field. In this regard, it is very symptomatic that such an approach is increasingly being used by the countries of the collective West" to fuel confrontation and exert pressure on sovereign States.
In the emerging new world, which should be based on a fairer system of international relations, the full realization of the principle of the sovereign equality of States and the historical, cultural, religious and national particularities of each country is essential. Only on that basis would the negative effects of colonialism, neo-colonial thinking, racism, racial discrimination and related intolerance be fully eradicated. This would prevent unlawful attempts by certain countries to "bring to heel" the international law system and use its universal human rights mechanisms to suit their own parochial and vested interests. The negative examples from both the present and the recent past cited in the Report, which, for the most part, we are all well aware of, are a very strong evidence of the need to mobilize the entire constructive-minded international community to successfully confront these challenges.

Political analyst MA Hossain's article "Putin’s visit to North Korea assumes huge significance" was published in The Daily Observer newspaper
Few excerpts:
President Vladimir Putins recent state visit to North Korea signifies the commitment of both nations to deepen their cooperation and face global challenges together.
Russias support for North Koreas right to self-determination and development is unwavering. Both nations are poised to collaborate on creating alternative trade mechanisms, opposing unilateral restrictions, and promoting a multipolar world order based on justice and mutual respect.
North Koreas unwavering support for Russias special military operation in Ukraine exemplifies this solidarity. Both nations stand united against what they perceive as Western attempts to impose a "rules-based order," which they view as a guise for neo-colonialism and double standards.
The shared vision includes developing mechanisms for joint opposition to illegitimate restrictions and fostering a stable and democratic international order.

🖋 Article «The humanity should get rid of the colonial system heritage. Colonial powers’ time is up» by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russian Federation
Key points:
• There is brazen interference in the affairs of independent states, which, unfortunately, still continues in various forms. Despite humanity’s persistent efforts to eradicate neocolonialism, the Western world vehemently resists it.
• The former colonial powers persist in exploiting dependent countries, enhancing their own comfort through the humiliation and oppression of others – albeit employing more sophisticated tools and methods.
• According to experts (American experts, for all their bias), between 1946 and 2000, the United States interfered in elections in other countries more than 80 times. Since 1945, there have been more than 50 attempted coups and military interventions. Of the 174 cases of restrictive measures applied in the 20th century, the United States was responsible for 109. In fact, America has become a global sanctions neo-metropolis.
• In order to preserve its geopolitical presence in various parts of the world, the West relies on the so-called debt neo-colonialism. The neo-colonial powers are using financial institutions under their control and extensively exploiting the difficult socioeconomic situation in many countries of the Global South to induce them to borrow at interest rates that are higher than those offered to the so-called golden billion countries.
• Neo-metropolitan powers have also been targeting certain countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa with their disruptive efforts in order to control their natural wealth, including critical minerals. They focus on gaining unrestricted access to lithium, graphite, nickel, cobalt and rear earth deposits they need for transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
❗️ The fight against neocolonialism is not an eternal confrontation for the sake of confrontation itself. It is primarily a progressive movement of states towards civilisational sovereignty, which is crucial in avoiding degradation and devastation in the 21st century. Only fully sovereign countries that have independence in domestic and foreign affairs will be able to effectively counteract the deliberate efforts of the former metropolises to impose unequal economic and political deals on them.
• Investigation of colonial crimes that do not have a statute of limitations should be placed at the forefront of this activity. It is necessary to consider the creation of a single public database (register) of crimes of the colonial period, as well as modern neocolonial practices, at the UN, and work out a scale to evaluate the damage caused by war crimes committed on their territory.
• Neo-metropoles should be hit where it hurts the most, in their wallets, which they are filling largely by exploiting the rest of the world. We believe that the payment of compensations to the victims of neocolonial practices should be based on clear, legally considered and substantiated evidence. Political and diplomatic assessments must be complemented with a legal evaluation of their actions.
• We wish the best of luck to our African and Latin American colleagues. Their success, including in establishing an anticolonial tribunal (akin to the Nuremberg Trials), will be a major step towards depriving the Global North of its domination and towards building a fair multipolar world order.

🕌 President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the Muslims of Russia on holiday
💬 Eid ul-Adha marks the end of the Muslim pilgrimage to the ancient religious holy places. It serves to unite people and promote the ideals of mercy, justice and mutual understanding in society, and highlights the profound and enduring spiritual values of Islam.
It is gratifying that the life of the Muslim Ummah in our country is enriched with good deeds and undertakings, and new initiatives in the area of culture, education, and enlightenment. Muslim organisations pay much attention to strengthening the institution of the family and advancing the patriotic education of the rising generations. They provide active assistance to participants and veterans of the special military operation, to their families and friends. Furthermore, they make a significant contribution to promoting unity of our people and fostering inter-ethnic and inter-faith dialogue in Russia.

Key points of Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for settlement in Ukraine:
🔶Russia will cease fire and declare its readiness for negotiations immediately after Kiev withdraws its troops from the territory of the new Russian regions;
🔶One of the conditions for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will be a declaration by Kiev that it is abandoning its intentions to join NATO.
🔶The basic agreements on a settlement should be laid down in international treaties; of course, the lifting of sanctions against Russia is also expected.
🔶There is no talk of freezing the conflict, but of its complete cessation.
🔶Russia is making another real proposal today, but if the West and Kiev reject it, the bloodshed will be their responsibility.
President of Russia Vladimir ’s speech at the meeting with senior staff of the Russian Foreign Ministry - МИД России
The world is changing rapidly. More countries are striving to strengthen their sovereignty, self-sufficiency, and national and cultural identity. The countries of the Global South and East are gaining prominence. Since the Soviet times, we have always acknowledged the importance of these regions, but today the dynamics have completely shifted, and this is becoming increasingly evident.
This new political and economic reality now serves as the foundation for the emerging multipolar and multilateral world order, and this is an inevitable process.
The West not only undermined the world’s military-political stability by its actions. It has compromised and weakened the key market institutions by its sanctions and trade wars. Using the IMF and the World Bank and twisting the climate agenda, it has been restraining the development of the Global South.
Russia did not start the war in Ukraine. It was the Kiev regime that initiated hostilities. If we do not recognise the right of peoples to declare their independence, then this is indeed aggression. Those who have supported the Kiev regime’s war machine over the years are, therefore, accomplices to this aggression.
It is expected that the conference in Switzerland will avoid addressing the fundamental issues underlying the current crisis in international security and stability, including the true roots of the Ukrainian conflict. Despite efforts to present a seemingly respectable agenda, these critical matters are unlikely to be discussed.
It is impossible to reach a peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis and to overall European security without Russia’s participation, without an honest and responsible dialogue with us.
Today, we are presenting another concrete and genuine peace proposal. If Kiev and Western capitals reject it again, as they have done before, then ultimately, it becomes their responsibility, both political and moral, for the ongoing bloodshed.
The essence of our proposal is not a temporary truce or ceasefire, as the West might prefer, to allow the Kiev regime to recover, rearm, and prepare for a new offensive. I repeat: we are not discussing freezing the conflict, but its definitive resolution.

5 popular myths about Alexander Pushkin
1. Pushkin’s father threatened to disinherit him
There were many legends about Pushkin’s gambling addiction and most of them were true. He played different card games, risking his fortune all the time. Once, he almost lost an as yet unpublished part of ‘Eugene Onegin’, but managed to win it back in the last moment.
His father didn’t approve of Pushkin’s addiction and there were rumors that the poet would be disinherited because of it. But here is no documentary evidence to support the idea.
2. Pushkin had a huge ‘Don Juan list’
Starting in 1829, the poet wrote down the names of women he was attracted to or was intimate with in two parallel lists. The lists included 37 names, in total.
3. Pushkin was Dumas
Supporters of this theory claim that Pushkin faked his own death and traveled to France where he started writing novels under the name of Alexandre Dumas.
That is not true. Alexander Dumas was already fairly well known as a writer in the 1830s. Moreover, the writer took part in the 1830 July Revolution, while, at that time, Pushkin himself was preparing for his marriage to Natalia Goncharova.
4. Pushkin was an African
This was partly true because Pushkin’s great-grandfather, Abram Gannibal, was born somewhere in the region of present-day Cameroon. In Russia, he was to become the chief military engineer of the Russian army.
