Northeast NCSY is heartbroken at the loss of our alumnus Elan Ganeles (‘14). Our deepest condolences to the Ganeles family, especially Simon (‘16) and Gabe (‘19), all of Elan’s friends, and the close-knit West Hartford community. 💔🇮🇱

With devasted and broken hearts, the Young Israel of West Hartford regrets to inform you of the passing of Elan Ganeles, Elan Aryeh ben Avraham Feivel V' Kayla Sarah z'l, son Carolyn and Andrew Ganeles, brother of Simon (Gila) Ganeles and Gabriel Ganeles, grandson, nephew, cousin and beloved friend, murdered today in a brutal act of terrorism in Israel.

The funeral will take place in Israel on Wednesday. The Ganeles family will be returning to West Hartford to sit shiva; more information will be forthcoming.
