It hurts my heart every time to have something that you pour your soul in be restricted and censored without further notice. Although I have had positive experiences with posts being restored after asking for a review, it doesn’t take away the damage it does in terms of reach, engagement and reaching your audience.

Creating art is not a fairytale. It asks for constant dedication finding inspiration inside (doing the hard work and digging deep into your own being - instead of copy-catting someone else), travelling around and planning to make things work and execute your visions, carefully post-processing it until it carries the exact message you wish to convey, and delivering it to the world. Not to mention the financial resources needed, the time and the constant drive you need to keep the creative spirit alive in this world.

The joy of squeezing yourself into nature's folds. To be stripped away from your worrying mind by the wind and cold. To be cracked open into your deepest state of being, the joy of momentary bliss ❤️

In the make for over 2 years and one of my favorite projects up to date! The cover art for Suntrip Records classics compilation part 3 was created on the 2022 edition of Zna Gathering . Me and Joske Vranken had the brilliant idea to use my art and human geometry to make the Suntrip logo with human bodies. Excellent idea to do this on a goa festival where everyone is tripp*ng balls!😂 It turned out to be an hilariously complex undertaking in the blazing Portuguese sun, with lots of miscommunication and random people joining whilst we were shooting already. We finished in the water to cool off, trying to make everyone float at the same time, another hilarious moment as everyone was slowly drowning in the process 👌🏻

We're so used to doing things on our own that we forgot how wonderful it can be to lean onto others around us and get a helping hand. Sadly, the system most of us live in is deeply broken and there is barely any sense of community left. This ever increasing hyper-individualism is pushing performance, isolation, anxiety and depression through the roof. If we stay stuck in productivity, losing connection with ourselves, nature, and the people around us, we become a machine that is easily exploited and turned into a product for consumerism and materialism.

Do you ask for help when you need it? Are you supported by nature around you? Can you rest in the hands of community? Or are you another human stripped from its natural and spiritual essence?

Oh dear Aurora,
For 7 years you have been intriguing me with your mysterious and energizing dances. A game of cat and mouse, aurora alerts at 4 am, hours of waiting in the cold, outdoor camping, Northern trips, meticulous planning and devoted hoping and praying. You fill my lungs with playful and childlike joy, my heart with warmth and compassion for the universe, my eyes with waving colours, my voice with little cries and grunts.

It are dark days for the goa-trance and psychedelic trance community, family and tribe.

Allegedly, Hamas invaded Universo Paralello festival in Israel with paragliders and 2 trucks full of terrorists. They threw grenades into the crowd and started shooting randomly, causing 70-100 confirmed deaths, and wounding many more. They have kidnapped 40-50 people, mostly girls and brought them to Gaza as hostages. The images that have since been spread by Hamas are total horror. Hippie girls being paraded (half) n*ked through the streets while they are (almost?) dead by men with Kalashnikovs thanking God. Children spitting on corpses. A couple where the girl is taken away while her boyfriend is shot in front of her eyes, etc. It's a nightmare.

Tears are rolling down my eyes as I am sharing this post in tribute of those that filled up the dancefloors. These gatherings are much more than just partying, but are one of the only displays of genuine human kindness, tolerance, non-judgement and freedom in this sick world. I have personally shared some of my most transformative moments here, together with everyone stomping and moving on the music that runs through us as a collective heartbeat. A celebration of true spirituality and humanity, void of any religious doctrine or manipulative tradition. I have organized numerous of Healing Art Projects, of which some participants have probably now become a victim of these atrocities. I might not know all of your names, but I do remember all of your faces, energy, love, and dances.

What happened a few days ago is not a political statement or religious war, it is a direct attack on fundamental human freedoms and nature. People coming together to celebrate love and connection, transcending human conflicts and differences, brutally massacred in the name of “God”.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this catastrophe. This is a tribute and a message of deep gratitude to all of those, for your dances and smiles, that filled up so many hearts. You will be remembered and celebrated the next time we come together and dance. But for now, we mourn. We mourn the losses of members of our beloved psychedelic trance family. I promise you that for as long as I breath, I will continue to fight for all of our freedom. Our freedom to love, celebrate, dance and embrace our most natural selves.

I hold you close in my heart and I hope to see you again on the dancefloor up there
