A non-profit, non-governmental organization advocating for Nursing students and early career nurses
The European Nursing Student Association (ENSA) is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntarybased organisation. Members with ENSA are National nursing student organisations and local nursing student organizations in Europe as defined by WHO. The purpose of ENSA is to bring European nursing students together in order to advocate for improved Nursing, nursing education and healthcare in European pol
Join us in observing European Mental Health Week: This week, we’re shedding light on the mental health challenges faced by nursing students during their placements and hospital experiences. At we’re committed to advocating for safer and healthier environments for nursing students.
It’s time to address issues such as bullying, violence from staff and patients, and mobbing, which unfortunately plague the nursing profession. These experiences not only affect students’ well-being but also impact their ability to provide quality care. We believe that by coming together and sharing our stories and struggles, we can enact meaningful change.
Your voices matter, and together, we can work towards a future where nursing education and practice are supportive and safe for everyone.
Join the conversation and let us know your experiences. Together, we can create a better and safer future for our profession and our mental health. 💪
Last month, our Research Officer, Francisco Ferraz, attended the DISRUPT Hackathon organised by the WHO Office of Quality of Care and Patient Safety in Milan, Italy.
It was a great event where our representative won with the best digital solution project out of seven competing projects. 🥇
This was an opportunity for multidisciplinary work, tackling pressing challenges and looking for innovative solutions in the field of healthcare quality and patient safety.
This is another step in line with ENSA’s mission and vision, which is to encourage the involvement of nursing students in entrepreneurial projects and the creation of innovative solutions.
We thank WHO-Athens for the opportunity and look forward to continuing this collaboration and working on entrepreneurial projects and digital solutions related to patient safety and quality of care.
We are extremely excited to announce the agenda for our:

Interprofessional collaboration is an essential part of patient care. Therefore we need to foster collaboration in a very early stage of the training of new healthcare professionals. Pharmacists and Nurses are one of the backbones of the healthcare systems and a pharmacy is one of the earliest healthcare facilities that a patient approaches when he or she seeks help.
But also way before that, Pharmacists and Nurses play an essential role in obtaining mental health. The important role of this profession can not be overestimated.
Today some of our ENSA Team met with WHO Europe representatives in Copenhagen.
Getting the opportunity to meet with Nursing and Midwifery Advisors Margrieta Langins, Natalia Stepanova and Stefanie Fernandes.

We at ENSA want to raise our voices for World Cancer Day.
There are 19,3 million new cases of cancer each year. Of which 30-50% are preventable.
Reduce the risk of cancer with healthier behaviours, regular screening, earlier detection, and timely treatment of pre-cancers.
Please ensure that you are regularly checking your body for any new marks, lumps or changes that could develop into cancer.
