Let me formally introduce myself - I am Hanya Sweeting CMT, MLD, CE and sole proprietor of Soothe. I began working as a massage therapist in 2020 during the pandemic offering mobile massage services, and added esthetics in 2022. I opened a small space to work out of known as The Soothe Spa and have been going strong ever since 💪🏾
Over the years I have added other modalities including cupping therapy, lymphatic drainage and prenatal massage. I have also been featured at a number of pop ups, and worked with a number of other therapists and companies including Voko's Spa Experience, Peaceful Tranquility and Body Bliss Mobile ♾️
I just wanna say that this was never something that I dreamed of doing, however since I was introduced to it I want nothing more than to perfect my craft and keep expanding and growing. The joy I get from offering services to my clients is unmatched, and I really wished I began sooner 😊
There's so much more on the horizon! I'm just endlessly grateful to everyone that supports me and wishes me well, and I hope that you all stick around for the full ride 🤞🏾

New season means new skin! Here are a few tips on how to adjust your skincare to keep your skin healthy and radiant:

•Spring clean makeup drawer🧼: Now is the time to check expiration dates and get rid of anything old. Remember, over time bacteria can build up on your makeup products, so if you notice a change in texture it's probably best to throw it out. This is also a good time to sanitize your makeup tools like your brushes, face rollers and sponges.
•Lightweight moisturizers🧴: Thicker moisturizer can leave the skin too oily and increases the chance of breakouts - switching to a lightweight moisturizer is best in the upcoming warm months.
•Gel foaming cleaners🫧: During winter months, the cold weather can strip the skin of its natural moisture. However, the opposite occurs in warmer temperatures - the skin produces more of its own natural oils, so a lighter gel foaming cleanser is preferable.
•Water-based serums🧴: Oil based serums are the bomb during cold winter months as they provide a layer that locks in moisture. During the summer months though, water-based serums are more lightweight and can be easily absorbed by the skin. Dermatologists recommend Vitamin C serums which are high in antioxidants to protect the skin from sunburn, and Hyaluronic Acid serums that can add back the moisture that is lost from sweating.
•Kick start Spring with exfoliation🪄: The way animals shed their winter coat, we need to shed our winter skin. Exfoliating will shed off any flaky dead skin cells and kick start your spring skin.
•Sunscreen application🌞: Sun exposure is one of the leading causes of premature aging skin. Skin care professionals recommend using a sunscreen seperate from your moisturizer versus, a combination because while a moisturizer is meant to pe*****te deep into the skin to add nutrients and hydration, sunscreen is meant to stay on the surface to repel harmful UV rays.
