*IT’S A GOOD FIGHT*
Wednesday, September 4th.
Pastor Chris
_*Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).*_
Whether you know it or not, as a Christian, you’re in a fight. Some people don’t like to hear this because they’re just not willing to fight. Instead, they hope that things will somehow just fall into place. No! You’ve got to fight. Why? Because there’s an adversary working to ensure that things don’t fall into place for you.
Understand that the world is hostile to your faith; it’s hostile to the Kingdom of God. Jesus, however, said, “Cheer up; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). So, we’re not trying to overcome the world; we already did in Christ Jesus and keep it in that position with our faith. The Bible says our faith is the victory that triumphs over the world: _*“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”*_ (1 John 5:4).
Now you can understand why He tells us to fight the good fight of faith. Faith is the victory, so always see with the eyes of faith. See the end from the beginning and stay focused on the Word, knowing that no matter what happens, your victory is guaranteed. It’s called the good fight of faith because you always win.
Here are three important things to note as you fight the good fight of faith: refuse to consider sensory perceptions and focus on the Word. Secondly, keep renewing your mind with the Word, and let it be your motivation (Romans 12:2; James 1:25). Then, meditate on the Word to deepen its impact in your life (Joshua 1:8). Hallelujah!
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the victory you’ve given me in Jesus Christ. I stand firm in the authority you've given me, knowing that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Thank you for the divine life in me, working in every fibre of my being. I'm victorious in every situation, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 John 4:4* Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. *||*
*||* *2 Corinthians 10:3-4* For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) *||*
*||* *Ephesians 6:10-11* Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. *||*

*MAKE KNOWN HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS*
Tuesday, September 3rd.
Pastor Chris
_*O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people (Psalm 105:1).*_
There’re people who always share testimonies. When they’re in church and the Pastor asks if anyone has a testimony to share, they’re always the first to respond. How is it that some people are so blessed that they always have testimonies? The answer is in Isaiah 12:3-4, _*“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD….”*_
Did you see that? Their hearts are usually full of praise. What’s praise? Praise is the fruit of our lips—giving thanks to the Lord. This is even clearer in the English Standard Version: _*“And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted”*_ (Isaiah 12:4 ESV).
Notice that it says, “make known his deeds”; in other words, testify! Grateful people always testify; they always have something to say that God has done for them. They’re always bubbling with joy. What kind of a person are you? Be sure that you’re a testifier. Always share your testimonies of what the Lord has done in your life.
1 Peter 2:9 tells us something beautiful; it says, _*“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; THAT YE SHOULD SHEW FORTH THE PRAISES OF HIM who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”*_ Notice the underlined part; you were called, that is, ordained to show forth His praise; to declare His mighty works. Hallelujah!
Therefore, always testify of His love, His grace, His faithfulness and loving kindness that you enjoy every day. Be grateful to Him that He causes you to triumph always and in every place through Christ Jesus. Remember, winners are always full of joy and thanksgiving.
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, you’re great and glorious; you’re righteous, holy, just, true and pure. Your works are eternal, and so are your tender mercies and grace. I worship you for your faithfulness and goodness that are evident in my life. You’re exalted above all, the great King of all, the Creator of all things. Thank you, for not only have you conferred your Kingdom on me, you’ve expanded the Kingdom in me. Hallelujah!*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Isaiah 12:4 NIV* In that day you will say: "Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. *||*
*||* *1 Chronicles 16:8-9* Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. *||*
*||* *Psalm 96:2-3* Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. *||*
*||* *Psalm 106:1* Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever. *||*

*DON’T SAY IT’S NOT WORKING*
Monday, September 2nd.
Pastor Chris
_*A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45).*_
When you speak, things happen. Your words are powerful; they create or destroy. The Bible says death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). This is the reason we emphasize speaking right; affirming God’s Word on all occasions. What you say is what you get.
Ponder again what we read in our opening scripture; through the words you speak, you bring forth good or evil, life or death, sickness or health, poverty or wealth. It’s up to you. It’s about what you say. You may say, “I’ve been speaking, but nothing has been happening.” Who told you nothing has been happening? That’s like planting your seeds and digging them out of the ground before they grow. Seeds don’t germinate overnight; but once they’re planted in the right environment, they most certainly will grow. Words are seeds.
Therefore, you have to keep speaking the Word. Like we often say, “Keep saying it; don’t stop talking it!” When you affirm the Word, it works. In Isaiah 55:10-11, the Lord said, _*“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”*_
This shows the power, immutability, impregnability and infallibility of the Word of God. Are you aware that your words hold the same power? Remember, you’re like Him; you’re created in His image and in His likeness. As He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). The Word of God in your mouth is God talking. Quit thinking it’s not working. Don’t allow Satan to get you into the sense-realm of trying to observe lying vanities. The Bible says, _*“They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy”*_ (Jonah 2:8).
*CONFESSION*
*When I speak, it comes to pass, because my words are powerful; they produce what I say, because I speak from God and speak His Word. My life is a testimony of God’s goodness, love, mercy and grace; I’m the proof of His equity, and I walk in His righteousness, in divine health, prosperity, peace and joy. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Mark 11:23* For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. *||*
*||* *Proverbs 18:21* Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. *||*
*||* *Matthew 12:37* For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. *||*

*SPIRITUAL OVERSIGHT AND STEWARDSHIP*
Wednesday, August 28th.
Pastor Chris
_*And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation (Luke 19:44).*_
I want you to observe the word “visitation” in our theme scripture. Some have the idea that Jesus was talking about a mere “visit,” but that’s not it. That word is translated from the Greek "Episkopē," which conveys the meaning of "bishoprick" also spelt as "bishopric" or the office of an overseer. An overseer has something to watch over and take care of.
This sheds light on the Lord’s statement. The Jews weren’t watchful, hence missed the time of their visitation. It also brings to mind God's command to Adam to "dress and keep” the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15), signifying their responsibility to watch over and care for the garden.
Similarly, the Lord Jesus urged His disciples to "watch and pray" (Matthew 26:41, Mark 13:33). As the Church of Jesus Christ, we must be vigilant and attentive to our spiritual responsibilities. Individuals and nations today may face dire consequences if we neglect our responsibility to watch over their spiritual condition by interceding for them.
Matthew 26:41 AMPC says, _*"...Keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray…."*_ 1 Timothy 2:1 says, _*“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.”*_ To not carry out this instruction from the Lord means you’re not fulfilling your “bishopric,” your responsibility to watch over your nation and the people.
We have an understanding of God's Word and can discern the signs of the times; therefore, we must be watchful! Remember what the Bible says in Ezekiel 3:17, _*“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.”*_ We’re watchmen and women, and one of the ways we watch over and take care of God’s creation is through prayers. Paul reiterated this when he said in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, _*"Pray without ceasing."*_ Also, in Colossians 4:2, he admonished, _*"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving."*_
Through prayer and spiritual discernment, we thwart the plans of darkness and usher in God's peace where there had been turmoil. Never undermine the importance of your spiritual oversight and stewardship in these last days!
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I recognise the significance of my role as a watchman, and I thank you for the authority you’ve vested in me to keep the devil and his cohorts in check. I terminate their evil, vicious and malevolent activities in my environment and declare that only your peace and prosperity reign in and around me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV* I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. *||*
*||* *Acts 20:28* Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. *||*
*||* *Ezekiel 3:17 NIV* "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. *||*

Dear Christian Brother and Sister,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I write to you at this time because I need to share with you some of the cogitations of my heart.
In my early years as a Christian, I heard my life coach Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome make a very important statement that forever changed the course of my life. He said and I will paraphrase ‘The most important question you should ask yourself is Why? Why was I born?’ He said the one who knows What to do, would always be subject to the one who knows How and the one who knows How would be subject to the one who knows Why!. That message launched me into a new phase of my life, a phase of WHY?. I began asking why? Why was I born? Why did God create man? Why did Jesus come? Why? Why? Why? I had several Whys! And I searched for answers to this Whys. Gladly the Lord is not threatened by anyone asking Why? as some leaders are. So the Lord guiding me through the word helped me answer some of the whys. Yes I still have a few Whys I need answers to, but I have answers to the most important ones and today I will be sharing with you the answer to one of the whys. Why did God leave me on earth after I received Salvation.? In my earlier years reading and hearing about Christians who backslide or fell, I always thought why doesn’t God just rapture people that give their life to Christ especially those with tendency to backslide, those who are living in the midst of sinners etc. This question led me to understand the Agenda of God which I will briefly explain in this write up.
THE AGENDA OF GOD.
I am going to explain this focusing on two individuals: the first and the last Adam. The first Adam is the one in Genesis and the Last Adam is the Lord Jesus Christ (God in Flesh). Their life stories and their interactions, declarations and actions would clearly show us Gods Agenda.
Let’s begin, In Genesis 1:26-28
26Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
In these verses we see Gods thought towards the creation of Man. God created Man to have Dominion; Dominion over living things and Non-living things (the earth). So clearly, we see that God wanted man to live a life of Dominion, to reign and rule on earth. You all know the story, Adam disobeyed God, lost his position, sin came into the world and the results of sin (Sickness, diseases, poverty and death) Man became subject to all these things. And God had to redeem man then comes the second and Last Adam the Lord Jesus Christ. What did Jesus come to do? You can get the Message on this on Why Did Jesus Come? | Pastor Chris Digital Library (pcdl.co) I will say simply Jesus came to restore us back to the place of Dominion. Let’s look at some of the statements Jesus made
Luke 4:18-21
18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Mark 16:15-18
15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Luke 10:19
19Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Clearly we can see that the Lord wants the Christian to walk in Dominion, Dominion over Satan and his cohorts, Dominion over sin and the results of sin which are sickness, diseases, infirmities and poverty. This message is getting long so let me quickly conclude, so in answer to my initial question Why does God not just Rapture Christians immediately after salvation.?
The first reason is obvious, so they can tell others about the Lord and bring them to salvation. The second is key and I think this is the one a lot of Christian don’t know about.
The second reason is for us to practice the life of Dominion here on earth. To walk in Dominion over sin, sickness, diseases, satan and even poverty. God wants us to rule and reign on earth till The Lord returns and He has given us these time to practice how to live in Dominion because of the ages to come. Yes you read it right, you thought this was just it? you live and rapture and stay in heaven for eternity? Oh no there are ages to come. This present phase we are in is just one age, there are others to come. And how you do in this age will determine where you will be and what you will be doing in the subsequent ages.
Ephesians 2:4-7 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
The third reason is to fulfil a specific purpose here on earth, God is a God of purpose and He created everyone for a specific reason. That’s another subject matter which I won’t go into today.
I think I have come to the end of this letter so this is the crux of my message every Christian whether you are a Pastor or not, has 3 main reasons for living, firstly to win souls into the kingdom Secondly, Dominate your world (by the way this doesn’t mean dominate fellow men and boss people around that’s not what the Lord said) To dominate your world means to dominate sin, sin should have no dominion over you, Dominate Sickness, you should never be sick, Dominate the Economy of this world, Dominate Satan and his devils (cast them out and disallow their activities in your area.) Reign in this life
Roms 5:17. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
And thirdly do those specific things that God has called you to do. This is why you should pray and fellowship with God so he Can tell you those things He wants you to do. This should be your focus. This is why you should go to church and study your bible so you can learn how to walk in Dominion and reign in life. Then preach and sponsor the preaching of the gospel.
And my Prayer for us all is that we will focus on Gods Agenda and do those things that the Lord wants us to do and not major on distractions and minor things.
Shalom
PUD

*YOU’RE GOD’S PROPERTY*
Thursday, August 22nd.
Pastor Chris
_*What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price... (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).*_
The Bible says you were bought with a price; that means you’re God’s treasure, His property. How amazing this is. 1 Peter 1:18-19 says, _*“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”*_
Your value is the precious blood of the Lord Jesus because that’s the price God paid for your salvation; always remember that. Your spirit, soul and body belong to God; that means no trespass for Satan and his cohorts of darkness. Satan has no business in your life and in the quarters of your body because you legally belong to Christ.
Now that you’re born again, you’re far above Satan’s domain or jurisdiction: _*“giving thanks to the Father for having made you fit to share in the inheritance of his people in the light. He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son. It is through his Son that we have redemption - that is, our sins have been forgiven”*_ (Colossians 1:12-14 CJB).
Moreover, because you’re God’s property, He’s fashioned your life for glory and excellence (read Ephesians 2:10 AMPC). Satan has no claim over your life. You’re “untouchable” because you’re protected by the great and mighty God! Colossians 3:3-4 says Christ is your life and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Now you can understand why He says, _*“...nothing shall by any means hurt you”*_ (Luke 10:19); _*“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper...”*_ (Isaiah 54:17). Hallelujah!
Have this consciousness and live in absolute dominion over the adversary and all adversities every day.
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I’m grateful for the assurance that my spirit, soul, and body belong to you and that Satan has no claim over my life. I am protected and fashioned for glory and excellence, and I walk in the paths you’ve prepared for me, living the good life you prearranged and made ready for me to live, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Peter 1:18-19 AMPC* You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, 19 But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot. *||*
*||* *1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV* Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. *||*
*||* *Ephesians 2:10 AMPC* For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. *||*

*REIGNING IN THE MIDST OF ADVERSITIES*
Wednesday, August 21st.
Pastor Chris
_*For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:25).*_
Some read the verse above and assume it means all enemies aren’t yet under Jesus’ feet, but that’s not what it’s saying. Observe that it doesn't say that Christ will reign “when” He has put all enemies under His feet. Rather, it says, “…until He has put all enemies under His feet.” In other words, He reigns in the midst of His enemies.
The Greek word translated reign is ‘basileuō’ (a verb), and it means to rule or to king. To truly grasp this, let’s review an aspect of Romans 5:17, the part that says, _*"...much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."*_
The Lord Jesus, who must reign or “king” as read in our opening verse, is in heaven where there are no enemies to reign over. This means the place to reign is here on earth, and how is He to reign? It’s through the Church; it’s through us.
Colossians 1:18 NIV says, _*"And he*_ [Jesus] _*is the head of the body, the church...."*_ Jesus is the head, the Church is His body, and the feet, as highlighted in the theme text, are a part of the body. Thus, Jesus continues to reign in the earth until all the enemies are subject to every member of the body of Christ.
That must happen before Jesus comes back. Can you see that the Lord isn’t coming for a beggarly, weakly, feeble or frail church? No! He’s coming for a triumphant Church (Ephesians 5:27). The Bible says He has _*“…made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth”*_ (Revelation 5:10).
No wonder the Lord Jesus said in John 16:33, _*“…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."*_ We’re born of Him and our faith in Him is our victory over the world. Now you see why James 1:2 says to count it all joy when you go through diverse tests. That’s because we reign in the midst of adversities.
It reminds of what David said, _*“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies...”*_ (Psalm 23:5). The enemies don’t count. In their midst you reign, you rule, you celebrate. Glory to God!
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. I’m a member of the body of Christ, empowered to reign, rule and walk on in victory in this world. I reign in righteousness, walk in victory and manifest your Kingdom here on earth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Romans 5:17 AMPC* For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). *||*
*||* *Colossians 1:16-18* For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence. *||*
*||* *Romans 8:35-39* Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. *||*
