My client was scared to fully commit on getting her permanent makeup done. During our video consultation, she was inquiring about Microblading to start with.

I have worked with so many clients and I can see from the get-go that my client here has thinner skin which indicates higher sensitivity.

Though she has minimal pores, and Microblading may have worked on her, she decided to getting machine brows instead.
This was after I showed her photos of work I have done for different clients.

She opted in for an in between of Ombré & Powder with one request “let’s not do it thick please”.

I’ve been really loving Pigments for permanent make-up. BROVI and the healed results it gives my clients. 🙌🏼

Not only swatching our inks but
Learning how to read CI #’s and ingredients in our ink is a must !

I love having different line of inks - from organic, inorganic to hybrids. This way, I can grab or mix inks that are meant for my client’s skin.

And yes, I mix 80% of the time !
I also dilute and add warmth mostly every time as well. Especially when one ink has carbon. This aids from my work healing too ashy on my clients.

Why choose Nano vs Microblading for clients that are 30 and above ?

It’s simple, collagen production stops as soon as we hit 30.
Without collagen, healing ❤️‍🩹 is slower. And when healing is slower, our skin will have a hard time absorbibg the ink we have implanted.

When there is no collagen, the skin’s regeration process also slows down and if you have microbladed at a depth deeper than what it should be, micro-scarring can/will happen.

😇 The one thing that causes the “halo” effect after a brow procedure is simply : numbing.

😬I always get asked by my clients when I reveal their brows
“Why is my skin white around my brows? This will come off right ?”

Here’s an easy way to explain this…. Make sure you save this for later 😉

✨How long does it stay ?
It’s very temporary. Usually , it stays around 15-20min but can be up to an hour depending on how the client’s skin react to the numbing agent.

✨What causes the halo effect ?
The halo effect is typically caused by topical numbing creams or gels containing ingredients like lidocaine, tetracaine, or benzocaine. These ingredients temporarily reduce sensation in the treated area, leading to the skin blanching effect creating the ethereal glow commonly observed post-procedure.

✨What is skin blanching ?
Skin blanching is when the skin temporarily turns white due to reduced blood flow. Numbing agents like lidocaine in creams or gels can cause this by numbing nerve endings and reducing/constricting blood flow to the area, resulting in the pale appearance of the skin we just tattooed.

I have a confession to make 🤓

When I first started doing eyeliner tattoo work, I couldn’t find a great way to capture my work. No matter what angles nor lighting I have, it keeps turning 💩

I also didn’t have much great photos for posting to even talk about my new service. 🫠

Soooo. I went to google and used a photo readily available on the internet 🙂‍↕️

Now I know what you may think, but I honestly didn’t know about “copyrights” then. I thought that when you grab something from google/the internet, you can just freely use it 🤣 Not knowing that these photos are actually outsourced from different places it has come from,YES I posted someone else’s work on my FB page ( I didn’t have IG then) 🥲

A couple days later, someone reached out to me. The owner of the photo I used 😬
I was so scared, but luckily, this person was so nice to explain to me everything and that she understood that I made a mistake. Since then, I have learned my lesson. 😌

INSTEAD of seeing this experience negatively, I used it as a positive outsource. I kept practicing. I kept looking and learning for ways to be able to capture my work the best way I can. I kept testing different lenses for my camera until I found what works best. 🥰

Now I enjoy being able to showcase the work I’ve done for my clients, and be proud of it. Not using someone else’s photo 🙂‍↔️
