I get asked a lot about the hummingbird on my website and branding. If you don’t know, the hummingbird symbolizes joy, healing, good luck, messages from spirits, and other special qualities.
To some, sighting a hummingbird signals that challenging times are over and healing can begin. To others, these tiny fliers are an inspiring sign of hope and good luck. Hummingbirds also can have a spiritual significance and mean the spirit of a loved one is near.
For all these and then some, I adore hummingbirds. Have you seen one lately?!

and are forced to bear what we oppose. Alternately, there are moments when we can’t hold onto what is pleasant and dear no matter how hard we try.

When my teaching the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program shifted to online learning in March 2020, I experienced a lot of internal resistance to the change and fear that something in the program would be lost. However, much like most I chose to roll with it the change, and began offering the MBSR program online.
Although, as we know face-to-face learning/interactions is truly irreplaceable, I have discovered many benefits to offering this program/practice of mindfulness and meditation online. A noticeable one is, people having the opportunity to practice mindfulness meditation in the comforts of their own home, which supports a more direct integration of the practice. Plus, no one can hear you if you unexpectedly catch yourself snoring in a practice ;)
